    Deal gone bad with Ironhead_79

Maybe one of the guys that move alot of cues on the board will be able to make you a killer deal so we can at least get a cue in your hands. Anyone have a good cue they can spare to get something going for this guy?

    floor suggestions?

My choice was (and still is) carpet with a good pad. I have installed laminate flooring a few times and it is easy to do. There are a couple of things to consider with laminate. 1. Since you are putting this in a basement with a concrete floor, you need to put down a vapor barrier and a pad...

    Deal gone bad with Ironhead_79

I would try calling him instead of PM'ing him. Just to talk to him in real time about this fiasco. I know you says it cost a ton to call internation, but $15 - $20 is a small price to pay compared to what you are possibly out if you never get a refund or the merchandise.

Closing My Pool Hall, Everything For Sale!!

I know this thread has been up for awhile, but do you have any decent bridges for sale? I don't use the bridge that came with my table because it is metal and scratches the cue shaft, but would like to have one around for when I need it. Thanks.

Ideas on starting an online cue registry for the public.

What about a 1 time registration and then a transaction fee everytime the cue changes hands. The transfer fee could be the same as the registration fee. There are enough dealers that buy and sell all the time that you would have a decent stream of funds from all of the transactions. I think...

    Deal gone bad with Ironhead_79

I am not local to Dan or Bret, but I will be happy to call them everyday for you. In the US cell phones have free long distance and I have free cell minutes, so I can call him a few times a day to try and get some information for you. That way you are not out all the money you are paying for...

    What do pool need now?

When I think about this, I keep coming back to Golf. Professional pool and professional golf are very similar, but golf has money and tv time. With the PGA, there isn't much time to really highlite the players' personalities during a match. Yet people will sit down and watch 6 hours of golf on...

heres some handy info if youre building a room in your house

My favorite thing about the floorplan in that link is that the billiard room is directly across the hall from, what appears to be, the "Mistress Bedroom". How many wives would go for that one? "But honey, it needs to be there to get the best environment to help me practice...." On a serious...

    Custom Cue Makers in Minnesota?

I'll give this one more try.... bump. This time I will add a request for good cue repair people that could maybe make second shaft or turn down an existing shaft to the search.

Choose low-end Falcon or Joss or Pechauer?

I personally would take the Pechauer and never look back, but I would not buy it from nielsens. I have a Pechauer JP06 that has been my main playing cue for 2 years and I love the thing. It has the same joint as the cue you have pictured and has a little softer hit, but the balance and feel of...

A Proposition For All Of My Vcash.

I was just going back to edit my post and name Joe Tucker's Laser Trainer. I thought this video was pretty impressive as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nWPQTYKz7U

A Proposition For All Of My Vcash.

I stumbled upon that video awhile ago when he was trying to sell his laser sighted aiming gizmo that he used to make the banks. I forget his name or where I found it, but I do know I have seen it and the cue caddy aiming dealey was actually for sale.

    Custom Cue Makers in Minnesota?

I was gonig through the new threads for the day and came upon a thread from Alaskin Assasin. On his website he was showing a 2K Custom Cue and mentioned they are a new cue company in MN, even though their website places them in Iowa. This got me to thinking, What custom cue makers are located...

Making Break Balls And Other Thoughts.

I second this question because I am in the exact same boat. The really frustrating part is I almost always end on a shot that I really shouldn't be able to miss too... somtimes I hate this game (but usually not for long).

    No pool, for how long?

I quit playing between '99 and '05 with a few months on and off. I graduated high school and was doing the college thing, then the band thing, then the job and wife thing, then the school thing again. Through all of that I lived in 4 cities and lost touch with everyone I used to shoot with...

What does everyone like about BCA?

We use a point system instead of winning X number of games in the M8 league I was talking about, so winning by snapping the 8 is just a little bonus. It goes like this: each of your balls is worth 1 point and the 8 is worth 7 points, so by sinking all your balls and pocketing the 8 (winning the...
