The Joys of a Race to 2 Tourney...

Our tues. night 8 ball is race to 2 on the winners side, and 1 on the losers. we have only three tables, so time on a week/work night becomes an issue with more than 20 players/bangers. Brutal. Sat night is 9 ball, and we play race to 3 on both sides. Also brutal. We do though, alternate breaks...

    Anyone recognize this signture?

That is DEFINITELY a cue made by a good friend of mine, Joe McLaughlin, out of Everett Wa. He made a little over 100 cues in the late 90s/early 00s. He no longer makes cues so you have a real find there. Where did you get it? I can contact him for more info if you like. BB

For Wash. Again, Rich Geiler. He left all the players listed by the side of the road, in a tourney on New Years Day. Also, a pm to Linda C ... "Platisville"? Is that close to Louietown? Or maybe Fraynes Harbor? TOO FUNNY!!! BB.

    Playing with a Broomstick

In the late 90's, I knew of a place where, once a month they held a shovel handle shoot. Bring your own shovel. Never played in it. Nor did I ever actually witness such nonsense, but the sign was on the wall. BB

    Wimpy's Strengths???

I only got to see the man play once, it was either 74 or 75 at The Jointed Cue in Sacramento. They had a Fathers Day 9-ball tournament at the time. (still?) Wimpy was trailing in a match against a very strong but much younger player, when he started to grumble a little that he could'nt see the...

At last! A rational, well concieved way to prove your claims. Sorry I can't take you up on your suggested bet though, for two reasons. 1. It's just a not very well concealed attempt at bullying me that I won't put up with. 2. I am just a poor dirt farmer from out west, and can't risk my seed...

I couldn't post for a couple of days because I was laughing so hard over your comparing foam rubber to Simonis. That's a good one JB!!!!! Rubber and cloth? Apples and oranges? Pigs and chickens? I guess they're all the same in your world. I now realize attempting to have a rational...

And so it goes on. Sales "prove" your'e a good salesman. Congratulations. Your "tests" are unscientific and prove nothing. You continue to dodge every point I try to make, by repeating the same self- motivated rhetoric over and over. I understand that you will never back off your position, for...

JB, You admit to having "no UNBIASED scientific tests". Delete the word unbiased from this and you get No science = no proof. "Room owners dont SEEM to be OVERLY concerned about this, PROBABLY because they already KNOW that no real danger exists" They dont seem overly concerned (so there is at...

I have you, JB admitting that your "proof" is invalid. Thank you. As for empirical evidence, that is only a sideways step from the anecdotal. Similar to the tobacco companies claims that since not everyone dies right away from using their product that no harm is being done. As an illustration of...

Where's the beef? You claim to have proof that jumping does't harm the cloth."Thousands of shots over almost ten years". Who shot them? You? Your pals? Where is the scientific evidence from an independent lab that supports your position? You can do all the "research" you want on your own in an...
