    Question on mcdermott joints.

Well, I got my cue today, my dad gave it to me early cuz my uncle (super good pool player) was over and he knew I'd wanna play pool. The stick is awesome, love everything about it. I can't wait till tomorrow, goin over another uncle's house (also a good pool player), and goin over the other...

    Question on mcdermott joints.

So would it be a wise idea to invest a few bucks in a set of joint protectors?

    Question on mcdermott joints.

Ya, I figured that if they've been around for so long, it can't be a problem. Plus, with lifetime maintenance and a lifetime warranty, what's to worry about? Thanks for your guys' help, now I know for sure that's the cue I'll choose.

    Question on mcdermott joints.

Ok, I get it now. If it were finer like the viking size, it would be much more fragile, right? What are the i shafts, painted wood, or plastic threaded?

    Question on mcdermott joints.

Ok so I'm lookin at a mcd warden w/ g core shaft. Now, from what I can tell, it looks like the receiving threads in the shaft are just wood, no insert. My question is, are mcds like this, and if I choose this one, would it be hard to keep the threads from being damaged, and what special care...

    Moori or Kamui?

Ya, if I have a problem with the everest, which based on many people's opinions I shouldn't, I'll definitely go with a kamui black.

    Moori or Kamui?

Well, I wouldn't call it enamored so to speak but w/e lol. And fyi, cincinnatti is 4 hours from me, kind of a hike for a tip lol. Thanks tho, if I ever need a tip done or something else I'll contact them about who is in my area.

    Moori or Kamui?

One more thing- when tiger says the everest shapes like a hard tip, does that mean it holds its shape like a hard tip? If it does then that's what I'm going with.

    Moori or Kamui?

Thanks, I guess I'll stick with the everest for now, it'll save me 20 bucks I don't have to spend.

    Moori or Kamui?

Ok, I guess I'll try the Everest and if it holds up then great. I'm pretty sure I'll be using a cheap cue to break, so I shouldn't have a problem with mushrooming. Out of the 4 cues we got with the table (A brunswick, 1" slate = awesome), I only use the 18 oz. one. I believe all of the tips are...

    Moori or Kamui?

Okay so I'm getting a mcdermott cue probably after Christmas, and I'm most likely going to get the tip upgraded to either a moori hard or kamui hard. Since they're the same price, I figured I'd find out which will hold up longer since I don't really want to have to fuss with tips myself very...

Can I get reviews on Kamui tips please

Can anyone tell me if a kamui black hard can hold up good to regular play including breaking? Cuz I'm getting my 1st cue hpefully soon and I'm debating whether or not to pay the extra 20 bucks for the kamui or not. The standard tip is an everest. I'm not 100% sure I'll break with it too, but I...

Opinions on this cue and what tip I should choose?

So you're saying it shouldn't hurt the cue, just make the tip life a lot shorter? I'll try breaking w/ it once I get it, if it's not worth it I'll just use a house cue. I'm not trying to think about it too much, I just wanna figure out what I need to do to protect a $300.00 investment. I'm not...

Opinions on this cue and what tip I should choose?

Lol nah, he'll never give that thing no matter how much $$$ I had. Can't blame him, got it barely used for 350, worth thousands now at least, since Szamboti died. I think he'll end up buried with that stick lol. Don't really want it anyway, I'd rather get the mcd anyway for some reason. Another...

Opinions on this cue and what tip I should choose?

Well, I definitely see your point on only spending 100 on a first cue, but I don't plan on nor do I have the funds to keep on continuously upgrading cues. I really like this mcd, and I'm pretty sure Ill be able to keep it maintained. What else is there besides tips? Shaft cleaning and slicking...

Opinions on this cue and what tip I should choose?

Okay so I'm sorta new to pool as in I'm 15 and we just got a new 8' table a week ago, but I've been sorta good at pool for awhile. I'm at the level where my breaks almost always sink at least a ball or two, I can use English, draw, and follow accurately, I'm getting good at setting up my next...
