Person Playing Pool Using Their Mind to See - WTF?!

And then there was Muad'Dib (Dune) who could see after he lost his vision. Sci-Fi is always ahead of everyone.

    A Subconscious Rattling Problem. Help?

I have a 9' Diamond with 4.25 inch pockets. And yes, I used to have a rattling fear when I played on Brunswick tables.......until I studied CJ Wiley's TOI system. Using inside English the cue ball WILL GO IN on my Diamond table hitting a rail first IF THE RIGHT SPIN IS USED. BTW, my table's...

Pool Could Use A Howard Cosell in the booth

I think that pool needs a booth first, don't you?

You can say that again. And I will state that this is not an understatement.

    US 9 Ball Open

Is this the same place the 2012 US Open was held? If so, this place SUCKED. Beggars can't be choosers i guess.

    Kamui Soft Black hardening up

I have a Kamui black Super Soft tip that has worn 75%. I miscue a lot now. It is impossible now to scuff the tip as it seems to hard to hold chalk. I have come to the conclusion that the tip is not worth the money. Back to my Sniper or Moori, until I can find a better alternative.

Main Forum = CJ Wiley Forum now?

JB, no matter how you cut the mustard, I have observed that in most of your posts you are arguing incessantly with someone or other. It's too bad you can't use all that energy for your love of billiards. Now, I am not saying that your arguments are right or wrong - it's that they take up a...

Main Forum = CJ Wiley Forum now?

Maybe you are just oblivious to what else is going on in the forum. Scott Lee has advertized for years and years on all of his posts. So does JB Cases, and his s&^$ takes up real estate like no one else!!!!!! I get so sick of having to scroll through his pool case pics all the friggin' time...

The APA should try these improvements

Personally, I don't even want to go to Vegas. Been there done that. It is such a pain once you get there and have to play all hours of the day. Just like you, I believe in friendly competition and some camaraderie also. But, however, I still believe in winning, and whatever strategy it...

The APA should try these improvements

Good point. But, IMO, if a 2 (especially sandbaggers) started to win too much they would be moving up to the SL3 level. The APA would have to tweak the system. Also, don't forget, if the innings get too low the SL2 will go up again. And in my first statement the rules I proposed were only a...

    If You Were Shane

You are so right. I never looked at it this way  And let's not forget the different weighted cue balls (red dot vs. blue dot). Pool is so enigmatic (JAM, are you reading this for the best word that describes pool?).

    Best glue for tips??

Instead of paper towels, I use old wet wash cloths to wipe off the excess glue spill over. That's another reason I like the gel - much easier to apply with less mess.

    If You Were Shane

And that is exactly why Shane can 'slow roll' and spin the ball, even better than Efren IMHO. CJ, you have to admit that both hit very 'soft' shots lots of times during a match. When I am holding my breath to wait for the object to go into the pocket or the cue ball to creep its way into...

    Best glue for tips??

A friend of mine who has install thousands of tips says to put loctite gel in the freezer for safekeeping. I put on tips for friends here and there and after about one year in freezer storage my loctite gel works perfectly. Just curious - how much shelf life do you expect to get from CAs?

When do you have to replace a tip?

Very true. While at the US Open around 2005, I noticed that Johnny Archer's tip was this thin. Mika Immonen's tip was also like this. I know because I sat right behind them. But then in 2012 Fran Crimi tells me about these players now using thicker tips. Go figure. Thin tips must affect...

Question for CJ Wiley about TOI

Yes, a lot of pros hate using inside english. They stay away from it like a plague. Keith McCready, on the other hand, has said on this forum that he loves inside english and that his mastery of this helped him become the player he is.

Question for CJ Wiley about TOI

For what it's worth, Mike Sigel told me he never practiced when he was on top of the pool world. Can you describe Mike Sigel's style of play? He seems to hit the ball firmly most of the time, but I have never really noticed what english he is using. BTW, Mike told me he uses english on every...
