It looks like the frame is rectangular steel tubing, which is likely as strong or stronger than a "much beefier looking" wooden frame. A steel frame will also be far more stable and should be immune to humidity induced changes. I'm not sure I love the looks, but I suspect the frame is stout...

Some of the Mexican (perhaps other central American) players here have an unusual solution to frozen cue ball situations. They just drop a cube of chalk (from about 10 inches I guess) onto the frozen pair and play whatever results. Anyone else seen this? It may be an "informal" thing, but...

Strong!!! I thought he got pretty lucky on shot #14 (didn't kiss the red out of the corner), but had a ton of really nice shots. I particularly liked shot #5 and #9. Shot 21 was pretty touchy too.

Been there! After both my opponnet and I failed at using it for the 2nd ball for something like 5 minutes I just gave up and tried a force-follow through it. I almost scored, but left my opponent a cookie... ;o(

I voted "yes", but there are exceptions. Author and subject matter a lot, but I'll generally read at least a paragraph if it looks at all interesting. There are some posts and posters where I can't/won't get though a short sentence, but not really that many.

That was interesting - funny how personal preferences/comfort can make a tougher shot look worthwhile.

Really glad I stumbled on this thread! I enjoyed both the high run and the finals video. Dave finds and jumps on double the rail shots like they are candy! Both play really well, but Luis is particualarly good with his position play and hits his short angles and drop ins amazingly well.

Nice shooting! My high run is 8, but it was an aberration - the balls just kept lining up for shots I was hitting well that day. Good luck getting to 15...
