    Cue Balance Point/Grasp Preference

I'm 5'4" and prefer the balance point to be in the 16" to 18" range. One of my original sneakies has a 16" balance point and feels great. Since I don't have the reach that most players do....I feel more in control on shots that I am stretched out on with the balance point in the back. As for...

mADE THE CHOICE TO SHOOT LEAGUE AGAIN......

OTB, congrats on coming back to league. Yes you will occasionally encounter the sand bagger or drunk but I have met a lot of great people playing in the APA from all walks of life and I'm sure you will too. My ex wife even used to play league with me years ago. At 37 yrs old I met my gf through...

So what do you think the average innings are for an APA player?

You talking to me......are you talking to me......WHAT UP EVIL! Yeah, you got the best of me that night. And even the time before that. I have never dumped and neither have you. You just hit a gear and it was great to see (just like the 17 - 3 you hung on that sl 7 last night while you were...

    What was your first cue?

Sneaky pete made by local cue maker in Norcross, GA from house cues. Had a horrible roll and costs 35.00. That lasted for a couple of weeks until I could by a Meucci sneaky pete (purple heart wood) in 1992. Nice and rear weighted (16.25" from rear) with a great hit. I still have it and...

    Advice/? on custom cue

Thanks for pointing that out...I goofed and corrected it. Also, I prefer a cue between 18 - 19 oz. My current player is 18.75 oz. with a balance point of 19+". Every now and then I break out my 20+ yr old meucci sneaky (17 - 18" balance point) and it feels very much like an old friend.

    Advice/? on custom cue

Thanks for the response. I was a bit concerned about cutting a laminated shaft also but this cue maker said he can do it and has done it before. He also made the comment that he is 6' 2" and has played some of the best pool of his life with a 57.5" cue. I am almost certain that I am going to do...

    Advice/? on custom cue

I am considering the purchase of a full splice cue from a well known maker. The cues specs are fairly common; 29" shaft, 29" butt, shaft weight is roughly 3.5 oz, butt weight is roughly 15.8 oz, balance point is 18.5". I have only ever really played with a 58" cue but have dabbled with a...
