I use an Everest tip. It is harder then a Sniper. It reminds me of a pressed Triangle tip. It does not hold chalk as well as a Sniper though. But they hold there shape well with use.
Thank you for your responses. I did talk to the cuemaker and he told me to send the cue back to him. He will look it over and make it right. He does not make that style anymore. So if he cannot rectify the problem he will give credit towards a new cue. It is a merry widow style cue with a...
I have a cue that is less than one year old. I ordered it from a custom cuemaker. The butt now has a slight warp. The shaft is fine. I prefer not to mention the cuemaker. Is this a big deal? How much does a warp in the butt of a cue hinder the playability of that cue? I do not have a lot...
Giuseppe 2 x 4 Case. Well built. I have had mine for three years. I use it whenever I shoot in a local bar league. It stands up to the use. One day I will buy a nice leather case.
I have only done it once. I fouled, my opponent had ball in hand on the 8 ball. It was one diamond away from the pocket. But I knew this guy was a shooter not a banger so I did it. Normally I would not do it. Make them earn the win.
A couple of months ago Dominiak cues was looking for dealers to sell his cues. Billiardwarehouse.com sells them now. I am sure there are others. His cues are a great value even though he has raised prices just recently.
You should have no problem with that size cue. A Guiseppe case can take a 31 inch shaft or butt. However sometimes they run a little short in the larger cases. 3x6 3x3 etc.
One RAT Cue, 3 McDermotts, 2 Vikings, 1 Schon, A Nick Varner Jump/Break, 1 Dominiak, 1 Pechauer, 1 Cue of unknown origin. Plus 1 Greg Sirca cue on the way.
For most players a 58 inch cue works fine. I have a 87 1/2 inch arm span. With my grip arm straight down at contact I would often be holding the cue close to the butt. Doing so really changes the balance of nice cue. I just purchased a Super Sixty WD 1020 Dominiak cue. The difference for...
The length of a cue is best determined by someone's armspan not their height. I believe 80% of your armspan should give you a starting point for your overall cue length.
On a side note Lee jeans I believe has a commercial with models/actors shooting around a pool table. I would like to know what company made that table.
