I had a Samsara D1. Good quality with nice stiff hit. Resale value was terrible when I sold it. It depends how you define custom. Seems some people have very different opinions.

I just wipe it down with 91% isopropyl alcohol at the end of every shooting session. Magic eraser if need once in a long while. I use it damp.

I had the same problem with an Instroke cowboy and Mezz power break with rubber grip. Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution. I ended up having it rewrapped in linen. Sorry I don't have a better solution.
