    Help Identifying Early Gina Que

If this is for an estate, asking on a forum is probably the wrong strategy. Pay for a proper LOA and appraisal. Just my opinion.

    You're right! Sorry about that.

    Rieper Cue??

On closer inspection, that winding looks wrong for Cortland. Cleaning it could reveal a lot. Since it is a conversion, and I don't see anything special indicating a major maker or historical value, I don't think there is anything wrong with cleaning it up or refinishing it to whatever extent...

    Rieper Cue??

Cool cue. Old conversion. Brown KU bumper. Might be Cortland. Odd length on joint collar and butt cap, I guess to get the length. I would expect a 14 pin, so that's a little unusual.

Is this really an early Adam? Value?

Thanks...I actually get a lot wrong, just ask The Crazy Redhead. She will tell you exact dates and times. Value? I avoid that issue. Restoration cost? Check with Proficient.

Is this really an early Adam? Value?

Adam A/H-12 Century 1973-1974 Catalog Later catalog, 1970's, unknown exact year. Here you can see the other view of the butt sleeve.

Is this really an early Adam? Value?

Mother of pearl? Well...I have seen many things called that...it's plastic. I believe that is an A/H-12 Century. I will look in my catalogs and post a picture or two. "Very early"? To me "very early" is brass pointed pin with aluminum shaft inserts, first year production. Semantics aside...

    Shipping cue

PVC is great. Basically a Fellini/Centennial/Engles case to ship in. I have never bought a Cue from Seyberts but have heard about it, not unlikely from you. How someone packs and ships a cue says a lot. It's actually part of the gamble when buying from Ebay and other sources from "non-cue"...

    Wood Welding

Hard for me to imagine as well, but I don't make cues. A stretch of the imagination might be in coring or attaching a butt cap or joint collar.

    Cue Values

Over what other option? Unknown maker? I think an LOA is the best way to go no matter how you slice it.

Bending wood is well known. Welding it? I has no idea.

    Wood Welding

I found this very interesting, not sure I ever heard of it. Since the cue makers are "wood guys" I though to post it and ask for comments. Interesting? Any application in cue making?

    Underappreciated Cue Makers Section

Love my Dayton. The underappreciated makers are many. Right time. Right place. Things like that can boost a name. There are likely some greats that will go to their grave remaining fairly unknown. When someone says my X is as good a Y (insert legendary maker), it is often met with...
