Practice Shooting One Handed To Improve

I don't remember who it was, but there was an instructional video I saw years ago where they used a skeleton and showed how only the bones needed to move. They did the one hand thing, then how to get into stance to keep the motion the skeleton made.

    Advice on selling ivory-inlayed cue.

I'm not a cuemaker yet but working towards it. I've already decided to not use ivory, even if I were able to source legal stuff. I'm not fully decided on the ethics of it but I don't want the headache of using a material that can cause legal trouble. I don't have anything against anyone that...

    Diamond Professional Delivery Time

It's the leather. I used mink oil on mine, applying about every 2 weeks for 2 months or so and it stopped leaving black marks.

    How Long Between Ball Polishing?

Sometimes I'll actually put off cleaning them if I have a tournament coming up. The hall I play at has dirty ass balls so I like to get used to that. If I'm serious I'll polish once before a long session. Normally I'll do it after about 3 sessions.

    Diamond Professional Delivery Time

The Diamond plays easier than the Olhausen because of Olhausen's well known bad pocket geometry. A 4.5" Diamond will most likely play better and more fairly than an Olhausen with even 5" pockets. Olhausen rattle. I have a thread on here about fixing mine. It was a real chore but it's doable if...

How to know if you got a quality install?

If the rails play dead or funny, make sure the rail bolts are torqued to 15 foot pounds. This is something you can do yourself but you may have to buy a torque wrench. You can get some ok ones at harbor freight for around $20. Note this won't be the best torque wrench out there but it will work...

    Aiming B.S.

Cowboy, I love you man, but anything you say concerning Geno makes you sound like a serious nit. What he teaches has value. I was his biggest doubter until I saw what he taught with my own eyes and ears. It's not readily understandable for some people, especially off DVD. In person he can...

    Aiming B.S.

On anything but the most severe cuts I can do this and pocket a majority of them. It's a dance. Your eyes lead. Your feet are in place, then it's a "simple" prospect of coming down on the shot and shooting. See the shot, breath in fully, breath out fully, come down with no tension in your body...

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

Well that would just be ignorant! I'd rather bring them down to my level and beat them with years of experience! ;)

CSI banned me from BCA state tournament due to a google review

Honestly, you're going to argue that paying people $15 an hour is going to cause Amazon to not be able to give a $400 bonus to some super worker? That's ludicrous. I wouldn't even get out of bed for $15 an hour, and they were paying people less than that. Amazon... ever guess how much money they...

Advice on Approaching My First Custom Cue

If you have a custom cue maker near you that makes quality cues, see about going to their shop. Some cuemakers have a range of cues with different prices and just keep a few on hand. Pat Diveney and son live about an hour away from me. Pat sets up a lot of booths at events and sponsors quite a...

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

Nothing wrong with that. These tips however are the real deal. I think if you like the way they play you could probably use one for a decade without degradation. I ended up cutting my green one off, not because it was bad, but because I ended up using the shaft for a break cue. There's a lot of...
