Exactly.. The place had its day but from the late 90's on up the place was in steady decline. But man when I got there in 91 it was a classic spot to get a game. I also usually went to Round Rock to play in the leagues when I left in 03.

Eric's on Airport Blvd. in Austin, Texas. No big screen tvs, just a badass jukebox, great tables and really good players. Austin had/has a ton of great pool rooms but Eric's was the old school pool church.

That is a funny movie and an excellent question. Earl the Pizzearl gets the Big Earn McCrackin vote but I am not sure who gets the Munson??

I guess if money was no object I would get a cue made by one of the guys on this forum. I've seen plenty of badass cues on here but I would have to do some more research first before I made a decision. Or that Scruggs fellow, his cues look alright.:cool:

I like watching Earl play on television, his outburst are just bonuses the way I look at it. If he did not get upset during or after the match I always felt a little ripped off. He can shoot pool and I like watching people who can shoot pool. He gets a thumbs up from me.

These are my 2 players. A McDermott Odyssey and a Meucci Sneaky Peter. The SP is my favorite cue but the Odyssey gets me games. Whip out a less than intimidating cue and you get a lot of action.

This is my take as well.

I have a medium, in-between break. I usually pocket 1 or 2 balls, sometimes 4 or 5 when they roll well. I tend to knock the cue-ball off the table when I try to kill it.

Meucci Sneaky Pete, 200 US dollars. Been using one for close to 15 years and it still hits like new. It does not have a joint collar so it looks like a house cue, not a converted house cue with a laminate shaft.

I do not mind playing with a good house cue. I also play with an El Cheapo, Meucci SP so a house cue is almost second nature for me.

I like the material used as a joint on Sneaky Pete style cues. Other than that I am not a huge fan.
