does anyone know of a Nick Hickerman.

Thanks for all the replies. Nick gave me the last 2 on the bar box, so I played him 8 ahead for $500. We played 2 sets and he beat me both sets. Both of the sets probably lasted an hour. Not only was he a real good player but he kept getting all the roles. The first set, he breaks and makes...

aiming low on warm up strokes

bizzy, thanks for posting this thread. I've often wondered the same thing; i.e., why so many good player aim low on practice strokes. I think td873's explanation makes a lot of sense and during my next practice session, I'm going to see how this works for me.

    Question for Larry Nevel

I asked Larry the exact same question during the 2005 Carolina Open and he refused to tell me. He wants to keep it a secret.

    Why Watch Accustats Without Grady?

I have to agree with many of you; Grady is/was a good commentator and Jim Wyche is a joke. I too stopped ordering Accu-stats videos because Grady wasn't commenting. IMO Grady and Danny made a real good team and I wish Pat would get them back.

    Back Pocket 9-ball

Has anyone on this forum ever hear of this game. I was told that this is a big money game out west (Cali and Nev). It's my understanding that this game is played just like 9-ball except that you have to pocket the 9-ball in one of the back corner pockets which the breaker calls before the...

    Personal Music Devices

In my personal experience, I find my senses are very accute when I'm in the "Zone"; I feel like I can hear the rail birds whispering. If they say a sentence with my name, or I hear my name mentioned when I am down on a shot it distracts me. Sometimes I even find complements a distraction. For...

    who has the hardest break?

Here, in the Carolinas, we have two shortstops who can break just as good as Larry Nevel. They are Chew tabacca (don't know his real name, I think its Darrel) and Greg Dix.

Wow, giving King Kong the 6 out is strong. I've never herd of or saw Ronnie Alcano, any pictures of him in AZ?

    Preshot routine

It's been said that a preshot routine plays an important role in pocketing balls consistently. I'm just wondering what type of preshot routine most people use. Here is my preshot routine: I first line up the object ball (OB) to the pocket. Next, I line up the cueball (CB) to the OB. I...

    Gambling spots interpretation

When I spot someone the 7-ball, I usually place the 8-ball as a wing ball; this way, after the break, if the 8-ball falls, my apponent has the last two. This make the giving the 7-ball a lot easier.
