    review: PureX (Players) HXT63

We started getting in Players cues last fall for Christmas. I haven't been able to play with one(can't chalk up our inventory), but I have heard nothing but good about them. They are really nice cues for the price. And I love their rubber grips. The trick to getting off the sticker and the...

    Pool table pockets

We use Hood Leather Goods(linked in the post above) for our pocket restorations. They do an excellent job.

    FS: Harley Davidson Pool Table

Not a bad idea, but the store wants nothing to do with him now, so I don't know how open they would be to that.

    FS: Harley Davidson Pool Table

Up for sale, we have an 8 foot Olhausen Harley Davidson table. It is the laminate version. On it is the Harley cloth from Hainsworth, and it also has a Harley light and a Harley themed kit. There is a sad story behind this. A guy bought this table from a Harley dealer for his son. The Harley...

    Olhausen "death rattle" modification.

It's not really an issue. It's way overblown on this site. Every table rattles balls out. I play on my Olhausen, and then go to a pool hall and play on a Valley or Gold Crown or Diamond, and they all rattle balls out.

    Pocket problem

Duh, I forgot to ask what kind pockets they were. Anyways, the table should have came with screws for the pockets. That's how they should be attached. Did they leave any hardware behind, perhaps under the table somewhere? Sounds like a bad mechanic.

    Pocket problem

The pockets shouldn't be loose. Get under the table with a screwdriver and tighten the bolts that hold the pockets on. They probably just aren't tight enough. That, or the mechanic cut corners and didn't put all of the bolts in.

    Bondo or Rock Hard Putty?

Bondo. It's what we use on every table.

    Brunswick Tremont

I don't mean to be rude, but you bought the second cheapest Brunswick(and it's a Contender series, not even a Brunswick series), and you expect it to play well? It has Centennial cushion rubber, and I don't think you can put a different cushion profile on, at least not without major...

    F/S Brunswick Gold Crowns

Have some new information. The tables are either GC 1s or 2s. They are 9 feet. They are missing the hardware and corners. If anyone is still interested, PM me.

    F/S Brunswick Gold Crowns

Make an offer. They've never been restored or anything. As far as I could tell when I last saw them, they were in decent shape. I'll be able to get pictures up soon.

    F/S Brunswick Gold Crowns

Hello all. We have 3 Brunswick Gold Crowns from the warehouse. They're currently in pieces in the owner's house. I believe they are GC 3s, but I'm not 100% sure. If you are looking for a Gold Crown or Gold Crown parts, please PM me. They're getting thrown out in a week.

Superspeed Cushions- Has the quality became any better.

No, Superspeed cushions are still just as bad. We replace Superspeed cushions all the time, even on tables that are pretty new(~3 years old). If you want a cushion that will never harden, get Accu-Fast. It will outlast any other cushion, and play much better.

    Re:Opinions.

We don't have their L(aka laminate) Series or V(aka veneer) Series tables on our floors. We can order them if someone wants them, but we only put solid wood tables on the floor. I'd bet extra that those Superspeed cushions won't last 10 years before they're hard enough to be used as a blunt weapon.

    Re:Opinions.

Yeah, they knew about the warranty before buying and were fine with it. It sounds like OP wants it for his house, that's why I talked about the warranty. And the old Gold Crowns were very solid tables. Brunswick used to make great tables. All of Brunswick's new tables are junk. I'd put our...

    Re:Opinions.

Thank you:thumbup: Truth be told, I personally don't know much about the GCIII. I know about the GCV, but OP didn't ask about the GCV. My coworkers will know more about it than me. I'll find out from them on Saturday(I'm off until then). I will say this. Before Brunswick outsourced all...

    Re:Opinions.

I'm an Olhausen dealer(though we used to deal Brunswick), so I may be slightly biased. I'm going to assume the Olhausen would be new and the GC would be used(since you said GC3). With the Olhausen, you get a lifetime warranty. Since they're custom-built in the USA, you can do whatever you want...

New Diamond cushions on a GC.

Wow, that was rude and uncalled for. I'm well aware that Accu-Fast are K66. You can switch from K55 to K66, or vice versa. It's more work, but we've done it plenty of times. It's another option for him. Next time, try posting something that will help the OP instead of slandering our company.
