    FS Meucci 25th Anniversary Cue

I have this cue, I bought #3 and #4, sold #3 really fast. I never played with it but I have hit a ball to check the hit, I have chalked it. Because of the detail and me pawing my wife's person Meucci off in the 80's I gave this to her. We don't play but I figure it was undoing a wrong. Now a...

    old dirty smoky scoring beads

During the late 70’s I ran into an pool player by the name of William Dixon outside Chattanooga a dive called Dee Browns. He was a quiet man and oddly enough didn’t drink a lot like most pool players. He sit in the corner and seem to enjoy watching the game.

Who is the Person that has influenced your Pool Life the most?

I have to agree with Doug, Burnie focus on keeping it simple. Using center english and was a master of ethics with pool. The person who gave me the best advice and seasoned my game was Mike Johnson. He had beat Vernon with 7 ball for a spot up in the mountains of Tn. I was told Bill...

    Cue refinish

The best person to use is in Penn. He's refinish my a few of my sticks and they look better than new. He's very professional and honest, but he's not cheap. The last cue I had refinished cost me over 300 dollars but he also fixed the butt, amazing work. Scott Sherbine is his name...

Four Contributors To The Death Of Pool

Vernon Elliott once told me, "I Never seen anyone make a dime off of a trick shot". However he's the only man I know that could bank a ball backwards with both ball frozen against the rail and he would bet on that trick but it's not trick. Just a good eye and one heck of a stroke.

Four Contributors To The Death Of Pool

Jerry is right here, smoking usually goes with gambling and gambling always goes with pool. Pool isn't the only sport that is slowing down. I hear golf is too. Golf is expensive to play. On the news the other day they are actually making the holes bigger to attract more players. I thought...

I like the show. I mean it's not like truly traveling around and matching up but hey, I assume with twitter, Facebook it would be hard to hustle these days. Imagine laying low, beating some poor guy and then he's shown a video on how your really play. NOPE, the good old days are gone I'm...

Arthritis in my neck at age 36! Thanks alot Billiards

Oddly enough after 20 plus years of not playing ANY, I went the other day to play with a few friends of mine. BOY, my neck killed me the most. I was so shocked. Besides my eyes going bad, my gate was awful, I looked like I never played a game of pool in my life. Every move, everything was...

how do you guys feel about hustles and hustlers?

Well said! Well said, I cannot think of any wording that describes the hustle better than these. Everyone wants the edge. The edge gives you just that , an edge. The ability to bet high, however some road dogs can over come the edge by the bet.

    % when backing pool player

Yea, spend your life learning to play pool then offer a player 25%, you'll go far, I promise. Of course I'm kidding! You know nothing about gambling I assure you of that.

    % when backing pool player

A good pool player spends his/her life learning to play and move around a pool hall. Then a person with money comes along and puts up the money and wants to split the winnings. Personally, I think it's an insult for the person putting up the money to THINK he's entitled to MORE than 1/2...

Has There Ever Been A Bigger Weekend In Pool

Keith, You was there, I wasn't. However, a close and dear friend of mine was there and tells the story somewhat different. He said, you stuck your head in the door and yeld out "anyone in here want to play for money". This is comely done among good pool players that WANT action and don't...

who did Earl beat in his gambling days?

Great picture, Allen has aged good. Ask him about offering Billy Johnson (Chattanooga Billy Johnson, not the late, Wade Crane) the 5 and the break and the 1st shot, The discussion between the two was "how much to bet". I think Allen wanted to bet 10 grand a set, Billy wanted to bet 5 grand...
