Whats it cost to restore a brunswick like this?

Good point haha I suppose what I would have in mind is full sand, replace the veneer (i dont know the quality ranges for veneers, something higher end looking) on the body, fill cracks, stain, and coat with whatever is a considered a quality finish.

Whats it cost to restore a brunswick like this?

I believe this is a saratoga? Has a schaaf nameplate on it unfortunately. Interested in getting an old table but how many thousands of work would something like this be to just have the woodwork restored, not including rails and felt. TIA!

Finally added an Adam to the collection

Same, ive never seen one anywhere near this condition in person. Always beat to heck. I cleaned up the shaft and it looks brand new now, only mark on the entire cue is one small ding below the grip. Rolls dead straight too.

Here's my current line up of second hand cues that I still have, have resold 4 others. Im about 220 bucks into all of these, that one in the center is a custom conversion from an old Brunswick collender, some nice stag rings, curly shafts. Deals are still out there!

I have good experiences with the independently owned pawn stores, this one was at a small ma an pa pawn shop. Bigger pawn shops like pawn America price everything dang near retail these days. But occasionally still find a good deal there that some one drops the ball on or are confident they...

I have found a decent assortment of production cues for super cheap at thrift stores and pawnshops, as low as 15 bucks for Vikings and McDermotts. Found this beauty for 75 bucks today, excellent condition, super solid feeling cue. It's an Ad-4, 20oz. The more I look at it the more I like it...

    Found pool table, had hatchback.

Well kind of odd situation, this is actually my brother's place. I have a plain olhausen set up at my place. But I live out in the boonies and my brother lives in a bigger town so I come to his place way more often than he comes to mine. he said he wouldn't mind having a table even though he...

Trying to identify this set of balls, unique font

Rubik's positively identified the set earlier in the thread, the standards have a noticeably different font on the 6 and 9 balls than my set

Very curious how you knew this, even when I searched for the specifics I couldn't find the set without that link! Again I really appreciate the ID, I spent so long looking through images of ball sets they all started blurring together!

Sure you aren't thinking of crowns? The continentals have a very unmistakable look with white numbers and rings located in the striped section.

I looked into cyclops because I did see a similar font on the 9, but couldn't find any sets that matched.

Will probably go with centennials if these turn out to be junk. I've had a 4 tables now that have come with various low end sets and these have a much nicer polish which has me curious about them, could have just seen very little use too though.

So ya. The balls...or is there a more technically correct term I should be using, "numerically coordinated phenolic spheres"?
