I have been looking into getting a mezz cue and was wondering if there is any major difference in their cue series besides joint type and inlays. I'm not concerned with what shaft it comes with as I plan to get an ex pro upgrade with it.

I'm still struggling with the two. I learned to shoot before I needed either. So far I think I shoot better with contacts until they get dry on me

I used tiger tips for years. No complaints. I tried cyborg recently and it's comparable to tiger. Now I'm shooting with rock hard pressed tips because the 20$ layered tips aren't any better. I hate kamui tips.

I like predator shafts. I don't completely care for their cues. Once put a z shaft on an OB butt. It shot well then burst into flames.

For my money Kamui is pretty meh. I like tiger and cyborg ok if you insist on a layered tip. Right now I've got a lepro medium on my cue, gonna try a milk dud soon

My wife loves lucasi hybrids. Uses the flex slim 11.75mm shaft with a kamui black SS tip to great success.

As I understand it the phenolic and G10 tips jump best. However with a hard leather tip and proper technique you can achieve both a powerful break and cue control
