    Automatic Shot Clock

I am going to make a few of these, maybe 10 for starters. The plan is to have double as a shot clock and a score board. The idea is that since I need the wireless hardware for the shot clock to work, I can use the same hardware to make a wireless scoreboard system. Each players game that they...

Energy transfer from cuetip to whiteball

Another thing to think about is that the tip-cueball interaction lasts 2ms or less. It takes approximately 15-30ms for your brain to process touch sensations from your hand. So everything you feel from a cue hit are literally the echos (acoustic vibrations) from an event 13-28ms in the past. If...

FusionCue - The most advanced pool training system is almost here (video demo)

I second this, as I also don't have a table with pockets. We make up 15-20% of the market worldwide.

FusionCue - The most advanced pool training system is almost here (video demo)

OP, We've spoken briefly on reddit before. Excellent work. As I am sure you are aware, the demographics for AZ Billiards and Reddit are different, which is good because both together give you a broad range of customer representation. Reddit users are younger (teens to 40) and more progressive...

    Korean sagu rule question

I’ve read your book and your bio, and you seem to be very insecure about science and technology, mostly because you don’t understand it. Using the word ‘nerds’ just shows where your intolerant mindset is at, as if you were still in the back of the school bus. I don’t have any respect for the...

    New Cloth Colors

Call the Simonis North America office in Libertyville, IL and ask to speak to Felice. She is the account manager and handles most of the big accounts for them. I once asked if Power Blue was available. It is a nice color. She said no, and to get it they would have to dye an entire bolt. $16k...

    Korean sagu rule question

He wants to know because he is programming the rules into his open source game, and he needs a clear answer. That being said it might be fine to just require far red to be hit first and then wait for comments about it to come in later on from those who know the game better.

Irresponsible huh? So does that mean you wouldn't have liked my old college mega-joule living room rail gun that I activated with a whiffle bat? Your brother and I should hang out.

Stepper motors are always loud. It is one reason they are avoided in some applications. But they are cheap, brushless and very reliable if you stay under the pullout torque.

Us mail is the worst! 😖

I just want to again, rain on everyone's parade, and remind you that US government mail delays are literally a First World problem. Your mail wasn't blatantly stolen by the carrier. It is much worse in other countries.

    Small games for a year

It appears from translating some articles from Japanese and searching around for the most common answers to this is that: Sagu: ("Sa-Goo" meaning 4 balls) Opening break must be a three cushion shot You score one point if your cue ball contacts both reds Your turn ends if you do not contact...

Us mail is the worst! 😖

If you ever use bpost you will fall in love with USPS. Three month delay for no reason. Worst is Correios. “what package?”

Did going from a low-end cue to high-end improve your game?

    Cues are like guitars.

I'll install proper bolts next time. I was indeed in a rush to get this done. It is however more fun to horrify the custom cue curmudgeons.
