    Billard games

Hi there, I have been enjoying my new Black Crown II pool table with my kids. I bought it so we could play as a family. So far, we have been playing 8 ball, 9 ball and cut throat. Are there any other games anyone would recommend? One pocket does not interest me. We also play snooker (my 10 year...

    Pool table covers

I wanted to know if people cover their pool tables? It is a nightly event and sometimes a pain. I know the main purpose is to keep dust off of it. Any comments appreciated.

Is this a Gold Crown ?

Looks like a Canada Billiards Black Crown, good quality table that goes for about $4500. The counters look the same but weird no name plate. http://canadabillard.com/black_crown_ii/p2018.aspx

What type of balls should I buy?

I ended up buying Aramith Premium balls. The odd thing is when I hold an Aramith ball versus the Chinese ball, the latter feels heavier. I don't have a scale at home and I am unsure if it is in my head but even the play feels much different. Balls seem to roll more and takes much less effort...

    condolences to RealKingCobra

I read this and wipe the tears off my cheek. I had a tough time with my own son last weekend and his behaviour (10 year old) and all that disappeared when I read about your horrible tragedy. I went home and hugged him and from time to time in the evening, thought about you. I pray for your...

One more reason to love and support Diamond Billiard Products

Is it too late to call in my order? I didn't bother initially as I figured being up in Canada with one person having to handle the shipping - could have been a problem.

Please help $5000 Dufferin Pool table!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was, at one point, looking for a re-sale furniture table. In Ontario, the prices for a 9 footer like the above would be between $1000 and $1600. I wouldn't go higher than $1600.00.

Pics of my new Diamond Professional 9' table installation - thanks Donny!

Wow! Looks awesome!!! Not sure if I am more jealous of the table or the fact that the installers are in shorts (as we freeze in Canada) :)

New table install - mechanic did not wax seam

Thanks guys! I assumed, based on the research I did, that it was a no-brainer and you always wax or some type of sealer on every install. This site is such an amazing resource for newbies like myself :)

What lines/markings for new simonis install?

Thanks! I just noticed on a lot of the awesome Home Rooms on the site that a lot of people don't seem to mark up their table. I didn't know if the norm was putting all the lines/dots on the simonis or be minimal.

What lines/markings for new simonis install?

Hi, I am getting new Simonis Tournament Blue 860 on my table and was looking for suggestions on what lines I should put on it. I have a 9 foot table and play 8 ball and snooker. Would you do the lines, dots and semi circle or do the least markup possible? Thanks.

New table install - mechanic did not wax seam

I spoke to the manufacturer who sent me the installation manual. It clearly states that the seams are to be waxed. When I asked the installer, his response was as follows: "You can apply the wax if u feel it important but it is not necessary on new slate as I told you during the install‎. It...

What type of balls should I buy?

Thanks everyone! I found a used set of Premiers (both snooker (2 1/4) and billiards). I know the Premiers don't have a measle ball. They are both in boxes but how do I know they are authentic Aramiths and that balls weren't replaced in box?

What type of balls should I buy?

Hi, I am a newer billiards player and my son and I are addicted. We bought our second table (Canada Billiards Black Crown II) which came with Simonis 860. I had a previous set from our import table and did not know that they are more prone to leaving burn marks. I am trying to decide on...

    Commercial tables and home tables

I have a Canada Billiards Black Crown. It is a nice table and looks similar to a GC and seems to be very nicely built. Comes with simonis 860 and master speed cushions (which I believe are k66???? - anyone know for sure?). http://www.canadabillard.com/black_crown_ii/p2018.aspx My wife wanted...

Thanks. I will post pics of my pool room soon. Need to get some of the wall art up :) Are Aramith balls considered better than Centennials?

    Cue advice

Wow! What a great group of people here! So much advice in so little time :) I really like Scott Lee's advice about the instructor. I also wasn't aware that Dufferin's were decent cues as I was given a set with my previous used 'chinese' table. I bought a new Canada Billiards 9 foot Black Crown...
