Try a shopping bot like PriceGrabber.com or Shopzilla.com. All you need is a model number and you'll get a bunch of prices that have been listed on the web. Keep in mind that the lowest price may not be the most reputable place. I usually take the lowest price listed in the search results...

    Video Camera

Steve... it's been a while... hope all is well. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/483262-REG/Panasonic_SDR_H18_SDR_H18_Ultra_Compact_HDD_SD_Camcorder.html Quick search on Cnet.com returned this model. Not sure if this is out of your price range. I would go with the hard drive camcorders...

Fairfield County, CT or Westchester County, NY 14.1 players?

Try Iron Willie's in Yorktown Heights... They have a league so there should be someone you could hook up with. Iron Willies 3535 Crompond Rd, Yorktown Heights, NY (914) 788-5711

    Allison Fisher or Jean Balukas?

It has been mentioned that both would consider playing the match if the proceeds were to go to charity. However, it can be assumed that whoever bankrolls such a match would have a huge say in when, where, and how the match would be played.

    ESPN Billiards

Don't know if this is still the case but the WPBA used to pay to have their events taped, edited and shown on ESPN. I remember Steve Tipton saying it cost somewhere in the area of $30K per event. There is absolutely no way that pool will get the exposure it needs and it is pretty sad to pay...

    Inside Pool Mag hacked

The text (Az Konusur Çok iş Yaparız.!) is in Turkish. I am Armenian and can't read it but someone here might know someone who can read Turkish.

    Roland Aravena

Rolando It doesn't surprise me that Rolando would show an interest in make-up and handicapping systems of other leagues. He was, until he moved to the Saratoga Springs area of upstate New York, the league director for Amsterdam Billiards' 8-ball, 9-ball, and 14.1 leagues at their original...

Top 3 Most Marketable US Players (Male)

Interesting... Earl may be the most recognizable American pool player around the world (although Mike Massey may be with his countless exhibitions across the globe), however in my opinion he is not the obvious choice in marketing the sport. If it was boxing, would you rather have Oscar De La...

Anyone care to share about Whitten Cue Cases

3x6 can get a bit heavy I've had my 3x6 for years and although I don't play much anymore, I do recall how it seemed to get heavier every time I used it. Great quality and offer great protection for your cues.

    Jeanette Lee ESPY Awards

She may have had other things on her mind... Last night at Gene Nagy's wake, Jeanette mentioned she fulfilled "minimal contractual obligations" for the ESPY's and caught the red-eye to New York in order to spend as much time with Gene as possible before his passing.

    Gene Nagy passed away

Sad news for those of us who knew Gene and for those who had an opportunity to play with him, against him, or just observe. He told me personally he had 2 runs in the 400s (416 and 406, I think), a bunch of 300s, quite a few 200s, and a ton of 100s. He helped me with my game when I was a bit...

    Slow-Play Tournament solution

Just end the match... I like Jude's idea but I would just end the match after the predetermined time regardless of the score. The only exemption I would allow is if the match happened to be hill-hill. Just a thought.

    Todd's Vegas rant

2000 BCA event I think it was the editor of Billiards Digest that got Jennifer Chen whiile she was shooting the 9 in the semis against Gerda Hofstatter (I think). Stopped subscribing soon after that!

Jeanette Lee Competes in World 14.1 Championship!

Gene Nagy I would be extremely surprised if Gene wanted to play. I don't think competetive pool has crossed his mind much since he gave up tournament pool many years ago. He did have a major imapct in getting Jeanette Lee to the top of her game and has helped and continues to help many...

Jean Balukas - why did she stop?

Buddy Hall's thoughts on Jean Balukas While in one of the sky boxes at the BCA event in Vegas in 2002, I was siiting a few seats away from Buddy Hall and Johnny Archer. Jean Balukas and Gerda Hofstatter were in the next booth watching a match between Allison and Vivian (B side finals, I...

Watching Champions League Final in Vegas

Sportsbooks Check with the sportsbooks at the nearby casinos. If they have a line on the match, they should get the game onto one of their many TVs.

WPBA - Has Kelly Fisher Joined the Battle for #1?

What about the change in format? I haven't had the opportunity to watch Kelly Fisher play except for a minimal glimpse of one of her televised matches. While I do not challenge her ability, might some of her recent success in climbing the ramks be attributed to the fact that WPBA events are...

Who is the most boring pro to watch

Dick Lane may have a reason for slow play... If I remember correctly and am not mixing him up with someone else, Dick Lane has a twitch of some sort. His right hand shakes and I recall watching him wait for it to stop before pulling the trigger. Even taking this into consideration he may...
