    CJ Wiley's New Blog

I would be thrilled to follow the evolution of your wardrobe alongside that of your career - from the outrageous get-ups worn in the "olden days.. back when you could earn an honest living from pool" to today (Affliction?). Pool innovation is at its peak and the merchandise is not far behind...

    Here's why pool is dying....

Your previous post caught my eye, but not my attention. It took a while to read it; I had to clean myself of throw-up induced by your gratuitous self-glorification. The OP claimed that, by nature, pool makes the player's deficiencies more obvious and said player is well-aware of them. I think...

    A real creep

I think several people are confusing the issue. I argue that what is in question is Grady's character, not his past/present skill. I grant the following outlandish premises: Everyone at Kolby's was 'in on it' trying to 'rob' Grady. He did not maintain that he only bets high. Grady did not...

    Where Are Your Heroes Now?

The Forrest Gump of Pool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ_yQ02xwsM Bitter and immature comments, like the one quoted above, leave a bad taste in my mouth. So the topic is: Relate an anecdote where you lost respect for one of your pool 'heroes' because of the way he carried himself.

    A real creep

I completely disagree. You chose to play. You could have walked away/out at anytime but you stayed and you lost -- it happens. I don't believe you acquire diplomatic immunity from the brutalities of the pool world whether or not you are/were a champion. You have certainly been on the delivering...

    Players fight back...

This is embarrassing. Archer barely manages to spell out a three-letter acronym. Way to rehearse for a big/important speech guys, we're all convinced!

    A buddy hall story

The 'breeze from the cue ball' detail is ridiculous. Also, if the cue ball 'jumped six inches into the air,' it would have had no more lateral momentum -- it couldn't then have traveled 2 (or 4?) table-lengths. I don't buy this, but it makes a good childrens' fairy tale.

    Happy Trails to Tony Chohan...

What? Despite my opinion of him, I also hope he: 1. comes out a 'better' man 2. learns his lesson However, I would not go as far as making him seem like the victim in this scenario. That is ridiculous -- you're making me cry tears

    Tony Chohan in Galveston

Vette asked a question and got flamed by overly-emotional typists posing as various aliases. Come on - we all know a pro players can't speak internet-English that eloquently (with the exception of cleverly-inserted grammatical imperfections). Better yet; who cares what known substance-abusers...

    What's your shot?

you tried to put reverse english and draw off the rail but the ball deflected, you rattled the 2 and scratched in the top right corner. you then left the table a broken, lonely, and empty shell of a man.

    Natural ability VS. Trained ability

I'm not exactly sure how you managed to "clarify yourself on my point" while not having the basic linguistic skills afforded by a high school Good-Enough-Degree. Obviously you completely missed the point and seem confused - much like a blind yak may headbutt a tree with its crotch. Pay...
