    Mali cue photo thread

Wow that would be great! For some reason this cue is so sentimental to me. It was with me thru some of the best periods of my life. Sure appreciate it. Is there a model name or something I could google for this particular cue? Thanks!!

    Mali cue photo thread

How is it that you came to own so many Mali’s?? I’d love to acquire a twin of the cue I’ve had for almost 30 years. Let me know if you’re interested in an unsolicited offer and I can message you. Great collection. My Mali is the only cue I’ve ever owned and I love it so!!

    Mali cue photo thread

@Benelli On your all silver rack, 5th cue from the right… I have the same one! Bought it in 1994 in Tallahassee, FL for $135. Absolutely love it. I screwed a cuetec avid shaft on it, and the Mali joint is a hair larger than the cuetec joint diameter of 21.3mm

    I think I am weird...

1 hour. Ride took me 1hr 6 minutes. Avg a bit over 18mph. Thanks for the feedback on the aiming.

    I think I am weird...

I'm not in amazing shape (although I just got back from a 20 mile bike ride at lunch), but really, moving my upper and sometimes lower body a little bit is not that tiring or exerting. I was more curious about my seeming dependence on getting a "straight on reference point" before rotating into...

    I think I am weird...

Ha! The title of the post was supposed to be "I think I aim weird" not "I think I am weird". Guess it was a Freudian... To answer: I just move my upper body, unless the angle and my position over the table require lower body movement, in which case I move upper and lower. I don't really have...

    I think I am weird...

So...when line up for a shot, I like to get first aim dead on straight on to the OB. Dead on straight. Then, I "rotate" my cue and body to the correct shooting angle. When I watch anyone else play, they just line up and aim with the correct shooting angle. But I line up/aim dead on straight...

    Cue repair in New Orleans

Anyone know a reputable cue repair guy in the New Orleans area? I have a 20 year old Mali that I'd like to get a new tip put on.

Accu-Rack or Magic Rack??? Never heard of it.

Hey nice avatar. Their IPA is the best. Sweetwater IPA is a close second.

Accu-Rack or Magic Rack??? Never heard of it.

Agree 100%. I was not too surprised that they did not have them, but I was indeed surprised that they acted as if I was asking them if they sold alien abduction prevention kits or something. FYI, Clearwater in Mandeville (no longer actively selling billiard accessories) has some stuff in the...

Essentially, I think I know what you mean.

Accu-Rack or Magic Rack??? Never heard of it.

For sure. I am definitely doing so. I was just a bit amazed that all three stores said they'd never heard of such a thing. I mean, you can't watch a pool tournament these days without seeing one.

That's a shame because I, like, literally meant literally.

    Spots

I'd like to put some minimalist snooker spots on my new Simonis 860. Ideally I'd like to use the same method you see used on the snooker tables in the World Snooker Championship. Looks like a small white plus sign or cross. Anyone knows exactly how what they use for marking the spots? As seen...

Accu-Rack or Magic Rack??? Never heard of it.

How is it that I call three billiard supply stores in the New Orleans area, and all three of them literally tell me "I've never heard of it.":confused: just venting...thanks

    Cover for Gold Crown III

Hi again, thanks for your response in the snooker forum too :) The only GC-specific comment I found for the brunswick cover was : "Doesn't fit my Brunswick Crown Gold all that well. It may stretch over time, but very, very tight out of the box." I guess I could order it and send it back if it...

    2-1/4" NON-numbered snooker balls

Thanks. Can you confirm that they are not numbered? Are you positive that the picture is not a set of 2-1/8" balls? I only ask because I only see numbered 2-1/4" (or 57.2 mm) balls on all of the USA websites. Also, Aramith's website does not show non-numbered 2-1/4" balls. Thanks.

    2-1/4" NON-numbered snooker balls

Looking to play some snooker on my newly acquired GC III pool table. Since it is not a snooker table, I'm thinking I should use standard pool-sized balls, 2-1/4", as opposed to 2-1/8". All I can seem to find for decent balls are from Aramith, but the colors are numbered which I'm really trying...
