Wow, I watched the first two videos. I’m not sure if this makes me feel it was a tighter race or not. Stats kinda have me thinking it wasn’t that close, but, watching it seemed like it was close....

Great job At Large and thanks for posting. One thing seems to stand out, she broke right with him, but did not get out as well. Opposite of what many on here have said. Both played very well.

Chen is an incredible player but watching it
Shane was playing like he had a plane to catch.
Just kind of freewheeling. A decent exhibition.
Not a great judge of how they really play 1 v 1.

Some interesting lead changes in these sets.

Set 1 -- Chen led 10-6 and lost the last 5 games.

Set 3 -- SVB led 10-5 and lost the last 6 games.

Set 4 -- Chen led 9-4 and lost 7 of the last 8 games.

Set 5 -- Chen led 5-4 and lost the last 7 games.

Set 7 -- SVB led 9-8 and lost the last 3 games.

I don't think many thought that in 9 ball . there is a long list of players that can break with Shane in 9 ball the list is much shorter breaking 10 ball

Yes, they were close on successful break rates and number of balls made on the break, but Chen had to push or play safe after the break at a higher rate than did SVB. So SVB's break was, on average, more effective.

Sets 2 and 6, the really lopsided ones, were each 3.2 minutes per game!

I will have to go back and watch the rest.
The one with the music was driving me
a little nuts. I understand the mute button
but there is something very satisfying about
the sound of the tip and click of the balls.

Too late iutbr since you already asked for your pardon. Her game compares well to Vilmos' and he's right in that range last time I checked.

Another way to look at it would be to see that if Shane had given her 11-10 then she wins 4 sets to his 3. If you work the odds out backwards from that then she performed at about an 806 speed.

806 would usually do better than 20% BNR in 9b.
