Turned 50 today!

I was speaking to my friend the other day, she is 35. She didn't know who Reginald Denny was. When the trucker barreled thru the crowd of protesters, I was reminded of what happen to Mr. Denny. I wonder if the trucker had the same flashback.
Unfortunately, history is doomed to repeat itself I fear. Every generation must learn from the mistakes of the past, but they never seem to. A few will, many will not and those few can upset the balance as we have seen. Every youth thinks they are smarter than their parents (if they even have parents today). Wisdom and intelligence are not the same thing.
I guess it’s my turn to turn 50.

Sitting in my garage is a set of golf clubs that are older than you are.

and the ironic part is I purchased the Nicklaus irons back when I was
in college. So 50 years is a landmark for many but for some of us, it’s
simply another exit ramp in our rear view mirror traveling life’s highway.
Nonetheless, congrats.......you survived a year of COVID and help is on
the way in 2021. Meanwhile, go rent a movie, order pizza and celebrate.
A lot of folks didn’t make it this year and those of us still standing should
feel blessed and not take things for granted. Enjoy a happy 50th Birthday.
