Donny caught a bye in the first round and had a BATTLE in Round 2. Louie Smith took down Adam Wheeler 7-6 in the first round and had Donny 6-5. Donny fought back and when Louie hung the 8 ball on a tough cut when it was hill-hill, Mills marched on to the 3rd Round.

In first round action, Corey Deuel took a 6-3 lead over Taz Naravane, an upstart young player at Strokers Billiards. On the feature table with a solid crowd, Taz refused to go down easily and took Corey to hill hill. Taz broke dry and Corey showed why he is a champion running out the rack for the win.

We are starting bright an early at 10am. Matches will b e scheduled every hour and a half with the last match of the night beginning at 8:30pm.

Duane Bourgeois couldnt get out of New Orleans as they closed the airport due to Hurricane Ike.

And I guess his other excuse for not driving is that he couldn't buy gas for his car. Excuses, excuses, excuses. :p
