Butterfly shaft

I thought I had seen one that was done by a cue maker but I cant find anything out there.

Does anybody have one they could share pics of? or if you've ever hit one? What are your thoughts on a shaft with the last 5" or so that has butterfly points in them? It would be just from a design point. Would the shaft have to be cored in anyway to accommodate this?

The Korean Carom cue brand does
Hanbat, those that can afford them love them
2K for the snakewood rainbow cue, wish I could afford it

I know a member with the username DBK used to make them. I believe he is a cue maker from Russia. A lot of Russian Pyramid cues that I've seen have the butterfly shafts.

Some of these cues have em.
The joints are reversed, though.

Deanoc on here gave them a good review in a post a few days ago.

Butterfly shafts

I make them for a customer that lives on an island in Puget sound. He uses a cue that is made to the " golden ratio " size. I have made him a few with a 5 to 6 inch ebony butterfly into maple shaft.

Pechauer has/ had a line of cues with points spliced into the shafts. So cool.
