What does the 'backed' part of the expression mean?

The game was awesome, the term backed and jacked means they got to hill hill and Brittany said do you want to start over and double the bet. The bet was for 200 so they doubled it to 400 for the second set.

TY-ok I knew that but where does 'backed' fit in? Im sorry if it is obvious- im just having trouble with it for some reason. "back and jacked" i would have little problem with.
