Just saw that.
No frkn you have better TPA and make a lot more balls lose at their level.
Shaw should ask for a rematch.

I believe this anomaly is called “dogging it.”

.900+ TPA isn't dogging much.
Shaw did not dog much on the last day.
He had more bite.

That's why a game like 14.1 or One Pocket is better suited for him against Shane and he knows it, and so do I.

Now tell me why I could never beat you at One Pocket. I moved good, I shot straight and you still always beat me. I was hard headed though and kept coming back for more.
You were too smart to play Bank Pool with me. I should have made you play me a set of each, but I doubt you would have gone for it.
Dennis put on a clinic on that "infamous" table against Shane.
Pattern-racking and running out like a madman.
I still watch the video once in a while.
Shane missed one 9-ball and did not get to shoot much after that.

Actually, that is the next big match that Roy say he will put together.

I may be wrong but I think SVB has never played Filler in any big tournaments before- even though they will definitely tangle in the 2 weeks time at MC.
I think Filler is slight favorite in tournaments/MC but SVB will outplay him in long action matches

If they settle this match It doesn't matter to me how they're going to name it because I would not want to miss it anyway. If to choose the only player from Europe to match up with SVB Joshua is the best candidate at the moment (imho). What I like about him as a player: he seems to be a workaholic when it comes to pool, openminded knowing fairly good about his strengths and what aspects of the game he still needs to improve.
It looks like he was able to find the keys how to keep the positive thinking of a child. Mentally strong it seems he just enjoyes the pressure situations and having fun at those moments. I remember quite a lot of deciders in the important matches where he stayed cold blooded like it was just a practice rack. His A-game does not look any worse than Shane's and he does not lose much energy...his run&outs look pretty effortless. He's very young and being such a workaholic when it comes to his stamina in such a long race match it should not be a weakness too.
Of course the main question is his break but If he'll be able to break them good, works on his safety and kicking game even with his lack of experience in such a long race match format he could show how dangerous he might be.
I'll be definitely looking forward to this match and I believe it is very unlikely to be a boring one.

To me, that was some of the worst pool I've ever seen Dennis play.
If Dennis had of shown up, I don't think it would be even half as lopsided as it was.
Dennis didn't perform to the standard we've come to expect from him.
He kept no pressure on Shane, and had countless unforced errors.
Not saying he would have won, I could have done better, etc...but he dogged it imo.
As per what we've come to expect.
He plays better pool by far than what we just saw.
Fading the Shane effect is hard to do .

DO and SVB are great at all games but, neither of them are champions at all games. They both, like most pros, have their weaknesses and strengths.

There have been very, very few players down through the years that were champions at all games.

People can say what they want but, it's simple. Even if DO had showed up in top form, he had a loser. He will never be able to compete with really big breakers like SVB....not at 10 ball on standard equipment....not gonna happen.

On the other hand, SVB, will never beat DO in 1hole or 14.1. I just don't see it happening.

SVB would have to be crazy with a capital "C" to play DO in 1hole without weight.

SVB is known to be extremely smart with his earnings and that means he would never play DO head up in 1hole.

I knew a fellow that thought he was a good boxer because he was in a position to befriend a lot of "professional boxers". It cost him azzwhippens till he realized he wasn't what he thought/wished he was.

Do you know anyone like the "wannabe" boxer in the pool world?

Consistently losing $20,000+ at the craps table in a single session is being "smart with his earnings" ?

I don't know you but, I do know your not very fond of SVB, for what ever reason. I really don't care. I've not got anything to gain or lose, other than my character by being or not being honest.

Having said that, I don't know SVB on a personal level, any more than I know you. But, SVB and I, have a mutual friend. I've been friends with the guy for almost five decades and he is friends (in real life) with few of Shanes family members.

I believe he is in a position to know much more about Shane's personal life than most any fan like myself. I've never ask personal questions about Shane when speaking to him but, he has (through casual conversation) said that he knows for a fact that Shane does extremely well, and it shows in the way he takes care of his family.

I've never seen Shane's house but, he has and he said it's a very, very nice place and POOL paid for every inch of it.

Also, his and his family's lifestyle away from pool pretty much tells anyone around that they're doing very well.

I know Shane makes a good living but, I doubt he makes enough to be dropping 20k in a casino on a regular basis......HIGHLY doubt that.

I don't know if DO does as well as SVB or not. I'm not in a position to say. But, I'm pretty sure Jay is and Jay has said "DO doesn't have very deep pockets".

I'll take Jay's word on that.

Again, not any of my business and I really wouldn't care either way, even if it was.

I hope both SVB and DO either already have or end up having everything they deserve because both of them, like a few others, have accomplished a lot in the pool world.

Why hate on Shane so much? Has he done something to you or are you just jealous or something?

Just curious cause it's starting to look obvious.

Jeff

Buddy of mine just set a pool table up at Shane's house in SD, said Shane's house was worth at least $500k. And did I mention the 11 rental homes he owns, or his endorsement contracts, worth about $80k a year?

You sound like you're trying to make yourself look smart, while standing on Shane's shoulders to do so. Who cares what Shane loses playing craps, that's nobody's business. What is important however, is your reason, or need to tell everyone about it, what's it to you?

I doubt he has a legit source. I may be wrong but, I doubt it.

I have a friend that knows some of Shane's family. I started to say who he was but, I thought better of it and didn't.

I think most on here would be better off by ignoring all of the negative remarks made by someone that obviously has an axe to grind.

This is old news, happened several years ago, nobody cares. The question is why the idiot who mentioned it thought it was so important that everyone should be aware of it. Shane's a grown man, and can do what ever he wants with HIS money, he earns it, he can spend it anyway he wants.

Jay, I never wanted ANY of your bank game. But, you never asked me to play banks and I'm glad you didn't. The whole Shane/Dennis drama is great for pool and does stimulate these discussion threads. We all have our strengths and weakness's in pool or life in general. Shane just simply, if given enough time, like these long races, will win out over Dennis. At least on tables where balls can go in on the break. Dennis just can't make enough balls on the break consistently to get and keep control of the table.
