Wow. One of the posters has some serious reading comprehension problems.
The OP stated he "hasn't been playing so he's not looking for action, but would like to watch some." Translation: he's looking to be a railbird.
Somehow this gets turned into, why don't you play some of the best players in St. Louis....and not for cheap either.....and don't bother asking for a spot either.... seems like a wonderful town:wink:
Now I know why all the gambler's headed to the riverboats
It's even worst than that: a player came into the room I play at the other day. I know him, he knows me, but we haven't played in years.
We woof and bark a bit and finally he says he only has $200 and doesn't want to play for much. I say, "What do you want to play for?" And he says, "$10 a game." I say, "Fine. You got 10-6 for $10 a game."
I win the first one. He wins the second one, and then he unscrews saying, "I got no chance." And he quits. Now I'm pissed.
BUT WAIT -- it gets better.
He gets on his cell phone, calls someone up, and I hear, ""Can I play Lou and have any chance at 10-6?" He listens for a while, hangs up, and I ask, "So... what'd the guy who makes your line say?" And he says, "He said the game wasn't out of line."
And he still wouldn't play anymore.
