You can read, watch videos or join a pool forum to learn how to shoot pool. You have to put the time in on the table.

And to accomplish this I highly recommend a prefrontal lobotomy. I personally think it would do wonders for my game.

This is great advice -- short and sweet. Might just modify "watch videos" to say "watch great players." It's more fun to do this at the poolroom, but videos work too.
