joint is .700, ferule is ivory, ebony butt, the wrap has been cut in, unfortunately.
it's missing the wedge and the decal. It is surprisingly straight for it's age.
the pin is 1/4x20 piloted with brass insert in the butt.
thanks for the info, and offers but I think I'll keep it for now.

Holy crap!

I have never seen one with that wrap. It's a find, of course. If it is an original wrap then i would say very rare.

Either Brunswick or Katz.

Can be hard to tell. I have seen several like this that were called Brunswick that were not Brunswick, probably Katz.

Gotta research it.

Somebody will likely know right off. I am hesitant to say personally.

I will say that joint pin is interesting.....

Pretty interesting is right. Sure has a similar look to the old Brunswick 360, but different wrap, for one. I'm sure someone with experience with the older cues will know.

All the best,
WW

It's a Brunswick 360 that unfortunately somebody put a wrap on. It devalues the cue greatly. Is the wrap cut into the wood? These were almost exclusively sold wrapless. The way the wrap goes along the side of the nameplate was the person's design, never done that way.

The brass pin in the shaft is not original. It is a modern "self centering" pin. Is there an insert in the butt joint? The original pins were very unique. Most I have seen are 7/32 wide .

It looks like a later 1920s model.

And so it begins....

I have one just like this in original condition.

This has "Titlist veneers" purple and green with an orange at the base.

It's a shame it was altered.

This cue sold for 13 dollars in this 1914 catalog. They were made for about a 15 year period. Not too many survivors. Hard to say how many were made. These were made by Brunswick European craftsman in the French factory. Some of these cue makers immigrated from Europe to America and made them here. Hand spliced cues with a miter saw. Pretty awesome.

This is what I was afraid of.

Obviously the pin is modern.

But I was hoping there was a chance that wrap was original. I have never seen one with a wrap like that, but that does not mean they were not made.

I have this odd feeling I have seen a wrap like that before though. I can't place it. Just a feeling. Strange because I can usually place a memory.

Sadly it does seem to be a modified 360. The again, it's a 360!

That's modern print wrap...

It's creative the way it goes beside the nameplate.

Looks to be an ebony butt.

These are poor conversion candidates because the diameter above the second set of points is so narrow. The edge of the ivory joint on this cue is about 0.70 inches. It's a sin to convert these. It should be restored if possible as should any of these.

Is that an offer

You'll get at least $2500 for this cue, so don't let people lowball you.

Deal the cards if so. If not.
The brand name is duck heads?
Why not say 5K for the altered thing? You being a big expert and all?
I asked a question.
I didn't ask you if memory serves.
I'll pass. So you can pay him the thousand if no one else will.
Thanks for your input,
Nick :)

Uh oh, Nick lost out on another cue he can't afford. Go rob someone else.
