I'd buy it for $300 and use the slates for workbenches, pull off the old hardware, chop the Valleys up for sneakies
theres an antique 10ft brunswick carom table in chi town for 500, if i was anywhere near id scoop it up, its in great looking shape

Seems a shame that they went through all that trouble and money to make such a beautiful table, but they couldn't hire someone decent to install the cloth.
I wondered the same thing...it would have been closer to reality for seller to say:
"And if you act fast, i will pay the first person who comes to pick it up $20 to make it go away."
