So, long story made short, I've been acquiring and hoarding vintage materials typically used in knives. So, my question is, how impact resistant are materials like bakelight? Generally, I know micarta (both vintage and new) can be used for ferrules. I also know Palmer used a different material called Marblight for years.
One of the reasons why I like vintage micarta is that I don't care for stark white ferrules. So I'm wondering how other vintage materials would work.
