I have found that I like veneers that follow a certain pattern:
(Outside) Black-Color#1-Color#2-White (Point wood)
OR
(Outside) Black-Color#1-Color#2-Color#3-White (Point wood)
The black frames the veneers and the white frames the point:

These Are My Favorites......
I've looked at the different veneers on my cues and these two are my favorite
combinations. I have one more combo I'd like to use for another custom design.
Perhaps some day I'll get to use that arrangement if I ever order another custom.
