That's great! What year is this from? I didn't realize that they were making shorty jump cues back then! This is why you never want to play against Death: look at his accuracy using a floating bridge while jumping!

AtLarge, is right the Date was January 1975. Price run from $0.99 up. A few on ebay.

Thanks, Maybe this where Pat Fleming got the idea for the jump cue.

From BCA wesite: He was instrumental in the development of the jump cue in the early 1980s. LOL

What a very cool find!

I have had exactly one thread deleted in my tenure at this great site. It was several years ago.

I assume it was because I posted pictures from a magazine without consent from the magazine. At least, that was what I had to assume because there was no other reason to take it down.

I was warned to not do it again. I hope the mods don't take this down.

This is the same story as in the digest sized edition, which is the one I have. Thanks for sharing the story so that I know. A rather peculiar tale and one that, I agree, would have been appropriate for "The Twilight Zone".

Edit: I see you posted the digest copy above me.

Pushout
This would make a nice addition, once frame, to any billiard/pool deco. I believe you can download a copy from a website if you do a download search.

I didn't know that, and I liked Pat too. Johnnyt
PS:I can't believe a 14.1 player (the pure game:rolleyes:) would invent a unpure tool for pool.

I just though this would make a nice Halloween Post,5 year later......... Happy Halloween... be safe tonight

Pat played with a 54 inch cue....he probably found out by accident that it jumped
easier than a regular 58 incher....
...if you shorten a cue, it becomes stiffer.
