I remember at the IPT King of the Hill in December 2005, C.J. came to watch the tournament. He was not one of the "chosen few" to be one of the 150 original IPT members, but that did not stop him. He wanted to be a part of this endeavor, and so making an appearance in Orlando, FL was his way of trying to hop aboard the IPT train. That was the first time I met him. He was very charming and enthusiastic.

I did see him compete in the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship one year, and he's still got game. Make no mistake about it. He won some rounds and advanced in the chart. His speed of play, as I recall, was a little slow, but I'm just used to somebody else I know who plays too fast, I guess. :p

For those who are interested in learning more about C.J. Wiley, here is his website: CJWiley.com.

I got this photo below from C.J.'s website. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any captions on the photos, so I don't know what the date of this is. I can name every one of these Mosconi Cup members except the guy all the way on the left. Who is that? I love these vests. They need to bring back these vests for our Team USA. These are cool! Look at how precious the red bowties are.

I remember it well Jen because I was there. This was actually Deja Vu with today's ABP happenings. Don Mackey pulled the A team out iof the Mosconi Cup because he wanted to have control over the TV coverage of that year's event and Barry Hearn told him to take a hike. Matchroom then contacted CJ and he pulled up this team.

They won the cup and ioff it went to the USA where it sat in CJ club in Dallas.
When the team were not allowed to defend their title CJ refusede to return the trophy and I believe that he probably still has the original Mosconi Trophy. Am I right Carson J? By the way, I loved the interview.

Roger Griffis, Earl, CJ, Allan Hopkins, Shannon Daulton, Danny Harriman and Mike Massey.

I also remember one interested spectator who was there Bob Moore who put on the original Color of Money challenge betwen Efren and Earl. He gave me most of the pitures that wee taken during that event. He later committed suicide at his ninth attempt.

I got much more out of Jerry and Mike than i did CJ. I really had a hard time understanding CJ though and i gave up with a few minutes left but none of what i did hear was particularly innovative.
