Phil (2) vs Adam (4) - an excellent defensive "back-and-forth" battle.

Phil (4) vs Adam (6) - Phil scratches on the break and Adam steps up and immediately breaks out his only problem ball but fails to get desired position on the next shot and has to opt for a safety which did not turn out as planned. Phil makes a fantastic cut on a "key ball" then gets out of line on the shot after resulting in a miss. Adam is left with a bank, splits the pocket, then runs out from there.

Tables have been cleaned and we are now awaiting or the players to return from their break.

Phil (4) vs Adam (7) - Phil breaks, runs down to the eight but cannot close it out for a B&R. Adam looks over the table, forms his game plan, and executes an excellent run out.

Phil (5) vs Adam (7) - Adam gets out of line but quickly "banks" himself back in line but misses. Phil had a bit of a cluster but played a carom in the side pocket that opened things up for a run out from there.

Phil (6) vs Adam (7) - Adam breaks dry leaving a "not so open" table. Phil shoots a combo right out of the gate opening things up a "bit"more. He had one problem ball, maneuvered the cue into perfect position for the break out, and cleans the table.

Phil (6) vs Adam (8) - Phil breaks dry and leaves Adam with a wide-open table leading to a rather fast, well controlled run out.

Phil (7) vs Adam (8) - Adam changes his break but scratches in the side leaving Phil with a 5-ball cluster on the fifty yard line. He worked his angles and drew into the cluster but tied a ball up with the 8. He attempts to get the angle to break that up but makes a poor position shot. He makes the ball but has wrong angle on the eight .... but he drains it with an excellent back-cut.

Phil (8) vs Adam (8) - Phil breaks dry again. With a large cluster on the 40 to 50 yard line, Adam maneuvers "whitey" and picks the balls out of the pack one at a time with excellent speed and cue control ... then cut one a bit too thin with only two balls and the eight left. Phil steps up with an obvious desire to punish him for that mistake, is forced to shoot a "not so easy" combo, drains it, and was right in line for the run out. Then ........... he played a careless shot (as stated by the commentator) on the eight. Adam makes one then misses his last one before the eight and concedes the game.
