John Robinson

All white is ivory and blue is dyed ivory!😁

Guess that most of younger generation have never heard of him but to older guys and to collectors Robinson cues are very well known and highly sought after.
John was born in Arkansas but moved to California. He was taught by Harvey Martin and used to build incredible cues. He was well known for his meticulous work and great workmanship. All his cues were built by hand and without the aid of CNC machine. Inlays were done on a manual pantograph, as are the points and John has never made spliced blank.
His cues are unique in terms of playability with nice stiff and crisp hit to them.
The pin is in the shafts. Similar to Burton Spain.
Although very few Robinson cues have ever been signed, they are easy identifiable.

Enjoy the pics!😁😁😁

John and his son moved to Scottsdale, AZ, probably 30 yrs ago. I still lived in Phoenix. Went to see him to learn how he built cues. He locked me out of his shop, was NOT going to let me in or talk to me. We did talk, bought a piece of equipment from him, told him I just had some questions. He answered some of questions, and became pretty good friends. Told me how he dyed ivory. Yes, he did a lot of hard hand work, so did his son. Really liked him.
