About Workmanship and CuesJust got these 2 beauties from Bob. The workmanship is absolutely perfect and flawless. Leather job and clearcoat is superb. Shaft wood is one of the best that i have seen lately. At the same time Bob was more than great to deal with. Highly polite, helpful and easy to work with.
Bob's work is tight and always highly precise. Fantastic workmanship indeed but even most important, his cues play jam up.
Beside Bob is a super nice guy and one of those cue makers that are joy to work with. He doesn't build many cues per year and you won't come up on one for sale very easy so better grab a chance once you come across on one.
No doubt, Bob Zide cues are one of my favorite cues that i have and i have or had them all.
About Bob ZideBob started building cues part time in 2001 in Margate, Florida while he was working full time as a baker.
He learned about cues from his father who did cue repair work in California.
Bob bought equipment from Arnot Wadsworth and after learning from Arnot he started making cues. He has learned a lot from Dennis Searing and he used to help Dennis a couple of days a week.
The finish is nothing short of amazing. Every aspect of this cue is
perfect. I've yet to see anyone but Bob make a stainless steel joint like this one. The shaft wood is some of the tightest I ever seen. The joint protectors alone top off this beautiful cue. Thank you, Bob
