06 Andy Gilbert

Butt:
15.6oz, 29", 5/16 14 SS half joint.

Shaft 1:
29", 4.0oz, 12.75mm, ivory ferrule
Shaft 2:
29", 4.0oz, 12.75mm, ivory ferrule

Balance point: 19.25/19.5

You are looking at a beautiful 06 Andy Gilbert that came out of a collection of bigger cues. This cue has had a pampered life and was more than likely stored in a safe and rarely used. I can not find one single ding or dent anywhere on the cue, it looks like it would if picked up new from Andy at his shop. Neither shaft has any blueing of any kind and tips look full and original.

This beauty of a cue features Andy's 1/2 SS 5/16 14 joint with thick silver ring work in black phenoilc below the joint and in the shaft collars. There is also a Buska ring above the classic white/green spec wrap that has white and black squares boardered by two thin silver rings. Above the Buska ring are 4 long points made of ebony and boardered by 4 veneers, black, red, blue/gray, and natural. The butt-sleeve is made of ebony and has a while delrin butt cap. You can see nice graining in both the points and the butt-sleeve. Either shaft has a minor bit or taper roll, absolutely nothing leaves the table, the butt is lazer straight. The only other issue I can find with any part of the cue, and this is being nitty, you can just barely feel the outter lip of the butt cap where it meets the butt sleeve.

Will consider Hoppe trades/R Schons/fair offers on this beautiful cue.

Bump for added information and to get this cue on top again! Let's hear some trade offers for Jensen or Schon R series other than an R6 or R13.

This Gilbert came out of my collection. The Veneers are Black, Red, Blue/Gray, Natural. The cue is a gem. It plays fantastic. I think the only reason its for sale is because the current owner can't adjust to the thickness of the handle. Its not thick, but its not thin either. I thought it was perfect, but to each his own. Good luck with a sale or trade, no worries with this cue or with this seller. I am tempted to buy it back, but I just put a deposit on somethings and I'm at my personal budget limit. Whoever gets this cue will love it for sure, I did.

Come on guys, there has to be a nice Jensen Hoppe out there that somebody is willing to trade for this Gilbert.

113 views and 13 watchers with two days left. This is a nice cue that is priced fairly.

I knew the cue market was bad going in, but WOW, it must be worse than I thought. Let's see some offers for the Gilbert!
