I was going to post that Shane will snap this one off for sure until I saw that its only races to 6 or 7. Especially if they get a field over 100 players.

Hell, some bum like me might have a good week with some luck and knock out some champs in short race eight ball. Okay, not really, but a lot of lower tier shortstops could do some giant killing...

You should strongly consider making it alternate break, why. Because loser breaks gives the better player an advantage, especially if breaker is not pocketing balls or if they are not a run out type player. Also, if a particular table is not pocketing balls on the break, its unfair for your breaker to have a disadvantage, and if loser is breaking it only compounds their problems.
 
age limit

had some questions on age limit. as of right now you must be 21 to enter tournament, we are meeting with casino after the holidays, we are trying to see if 18 and older is ok.
