Player Members can participate in the singles division of MWR

We would like to clarify that all BCAPL Player Members are eligible to participate in the singles divisions of the 2011 BCAPL Midwest Regional 8-Ball Championships again this year. For player members, the event BCAPL eligibility listed on the event flyer and entry form does not apply. However, Player Members are not eligible to participate in any team division.

The 2011 Midwest Regional Singles Divisions are:
Men’s Master Singles
Men’s AA Singles
Men’s A Singles
Men’s B Singles
Women’s Master Singles
Women’s Open Singles

“Which Division do I register for?”
When signing up for the 2011 Midwest Regional 8-Ball Championships singles competition, you should sign up based on the following rating criteria. These are the resources CSI / BCAPL is using to determine a player’s rating and division for the event. They are considered in order as listed below.

1. Minnesota and / or Wisconsin official state rating’s list (uses the Master, AA, A, and B designations). You must have a MN or WI state rating to be eligible to play in the Men’s B Singles.

2. The BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships rating list (for those who do not have a MN or WI state rating, but do have a BCAPL national rating (BCAPL Open = Men’s A Singles and Women’s Open, BCAPL Advanced = Men’s AA Singles and Women’s Master, and BCAPL Master = Men’s Master Singles and Women’s Master Singles). BCAPL Grand Master level players are not eligible to participate in the event.

3. If a current or established player member or new player member does not have either a MN or WI
State rating or a BCAPL national rating, the player must compete at the Master level for the 2011 Midwest Regional event.

If you do not know your current MN or WI state rating or if applicable your BCAPL national rating please email holly@playcsipool.com or call (702) 719-7665 to verify.

bump for all those folks up in snowville in the upper midwest...keep warm, hang out in a pool room, where it's cozy and toasty.

Avalanche of Entries

Our phones are ringing off the hook and I think one of our fax machines is cussing at is in Fax Machine language...if this is an indication of the avalanche of entries we're receiving for this tournament today.

So...to be able to accomodate all interested in entering the Midwest Regional Championships ($10k added folks ...we will be accepting ON-SITE sign-ups at Canterbury this Wednesday during the day up till 6 pm - for both singles and teams. The on-site signups will be taken by Ric and Bonnie Jones of Bad Boys Billiard Productions.[/.

If you are a BCAPL league member with at least 6 weeks of sanctioned league play this past year you are eligible to play in singles and teams.

Player Members (BCAPL non-league membership) are eligible to play in singles only. If you do not have an active Player Membership and are not a sanctioned BCAPL league player, you can become a Player Member by including the additional $25 annual Player Member fee on your entry form). The entry form did not mention player members...ignore this, that was amended in December and will be added formally to the form for next year.

VERIFICATION of Player Ratings: We do verify player ratings and using the following: MN, WI, Iowa state lists, 2004 - 2010 Midwest Regional past player's list, the BCAPL national list and player known ability. This tournament is using the Master, AA, A and B rating system.)
