I had a blast at this event too!! Luckily, my team had a few subs so I was able to play the singles event. I won my first match against "Diamond" Dean from OK, then lost to Coy Lee. I won 5 matches on the losers side before losing to Chuck Raulston this morning. So that put me 9-12th. My team did well too!! We lost our 1st match, then came back to take 3rd place. We lost to Joey Grey's team 13-11. It was a heart breaker, but a great match.

Overall, it was a great event. I'm looking forward to the next one. :)

Great to hear! Nice finishes in those fields too. What team did you play on, if you don't mind me asking? We got put out at 10:30 or so last night in a hill battle to a team from Texas. Was that y'all? I captain Vintage cues.

I play with The Hitmen. We won a few hill-hill battles along the way. I don't remember team names though. I have a horrible memory. LOL. Sorry.

I think that it was your team. Chip Compton was on my team. You guys were on the hill and we were playing the last two games. Eight balls were pocketed on both tables within seconds of each other, one for us and one for you. It'll be in my head for a bit. Great job on running that far through the one loss bracket! It was a pleasure playing your team. Hope to get our revenge soon. ;)

Yup, that was our team. I had a singles match so I only got to play a few games of the match, but was told about the last two games. You had a great team, and it was a pleasure to play you guys. I'm sure we will run into you guys again. ;)
 
I heard McMinn won...but I wasnt there...a friend of mine stayed and he text me that McMinn doubled dipped Chip...

I told myself that letting the clones out was a bad idea. ;)

As for the next one, I heard from Amy that Remington has already approved it for next year! So get that Diamond and start practicing. :)

thanks to all who played

thank you all for making it a GREAT tourney.. despite the short notice and colossal workload i really enjoyed running it for ya'll..

i seriously hope to be able to do it next year.. remington kinda sketchy on the details-likely still evaluating cost vs take.. it would help if some of you guys that came down and played and had a good time would email remington park (mark enos) and let him know you liked it and want to do it again.. would really help with the pitch.. it's a ***** trying to get someone to shell out that kinda cash for ya'll.. but hey, if ya'll are in, i'd love to do it again..

with more time to plan and organize and staff, it will come off a lot smoother.. AND we'd have time to squeeze in the auction.. double the fun..

Amy, I just emailed Remington Park attn: Mark Enos. Hope the email gets to him and it helps our cause! Thanks again to you.

ps: spread the word here when it is near time for that other January tournament you mentioned. Might have to expand that one. ;)
