Bump for answer. Three tiers total Mike? Because you have already said i wasn't in top tier.

Do not despair Brian. There is an OPEN event on the same dates in November. As Mike said it may be the right place for you and many others in your same situation. It is called the Players Championship and will be in Fayetteville, NC. The Added Money isn't too shabby either - $25,000!

Thank you, Jay. As for you Mike you usually answer in a timely manner. So again, is your system 3 tiers?

This is interesting. I thought this tour was created for Brian White. That is an impressive record though.
Well, I will have to look through your post history which is very extensive. Easy-e, however, thought along the same lines as me. All i'm asking is that you not be bias towards me for any reason. (i know you thought i was on Shannon's side in those disputes) but i'm simply looking for somewhere to play. All I ask is that if you let people that play like me play, then allow me to play. That's fair. I mean c'mon, i'm the very def. of advanced amt. Just keep in mind that i played in a lot of tourney's but if you look close I didn't win any with top flight competition in last 7 years. I'm not a pro, i work 45 hours a week. Let me and other good non pros play.

Brian, 1st off this isn't about sides or he said / she said its simply just the rules that will be played.

You are a very good player and thus you should be playing in Open events or Pro events. There are many Open and Pro events to chose from on a weekly basis. Please take advantage of and support these events.

In November Mike, I was just curious...The 6 ball showd amateur-adv. The 9 ball amateur-adv and the 8 ball amateur adv. but the one pocket showd amateur only. Just curious was this a type o, or is this perticular tournament like that for some reason? Its on the flyer that way..

They should all be Amateur-Advanced for the SCA-A in November.

It's just a typo.

Reminder:

We have received many, many emails, PM's and phone calls about players eligibility for these events.

As a note: we encourage you to search all databases for your name just as we will to check on your eligibility.

To do this we suggest you try these 3 searches 1st when looking up your stats.

1. AZ Billiards Player Finder
http://www.azbilliards.com/thepros/2000playerfinder.php

2. Search AZ News Archive located on the Main page of AZ under the Headlines section

3. Inside Pool magazine - look on the front page in the upper right hand corner in the "search our site" section.
http://www.insidepoolmag.com/

As a note: it is always a good idea to start the searches with your last name then also search with your full name and any abbreviations you have been known to go by like "William Smith" is sometimes "Will Smith" or "Bill Smith".

After gathering your results please cross-check your stats with our Disqualification for the Amateur-Advanced division at:http://vikingcue.com/9balltour/amatureeligibility.html

If you still have any questions about your eligibility or you think you are missing some events from the searches please contact the Viking Tour office at vikingtour2@yahoo.com we have several other databases that we will also check from our office. A Viking Tour staff member will be happy to assist you in anyway possible.

Thanks,

Mj

Wow, these two events were scheduled over top of each other? That's bizarre. It seems to me that it would be good for the game for players that play my speed to compete in Mike's event and then take a shot at Shannon's event. Who sheduled their event first? I'm completely torn

It's really not that hard of a decision. Which type of players do you want to compete with for the cash, Amateurs or Pro's ?

Players, thank you for contacting us about sending entry fees in advance.

At this time we will only be taking entry fees at the designated times at the events. Don't worry, nobody will be shut-out. Due to the overwhelming response the fields will be unlimited in size.

We will see you there.

scheduling

It is def. bad to see these sched. over top of each other I wonder who sched. first, sure would of like to played in both, but thats not a option now, may have to check out king street billiards Ive heard it is top notch:(

Unfortunately for the players there is a scheduling conflict and fortunately the players have events to choose from. We suggest the players go to whichever event suits them best. The amateur players can compete against other amateurs or pros depending upon their individual preference of whether they want to donate money or have a fair chance to win money. Both events have lots of money added. Good luck at the event you choose to play in.
