10 Ball Ring Game Saturday 4PM 7/11 at Big Dog Billiards in Des Moines, IA

We got 12 players this time, still a nice field for the event. All local guys this time, last weekend was the 4th of July so I didn't expect too many people to be traveling.
At 9PM we still had a minor in it and one of the remaining players did not want to switch tables and play on the minor side so we chopped the pot up. Daniel(minor) was the chip leader, I was in 2nd, and Pet trailed me by a few barrels. We ended up giving Daniel $240 and Pet and Myself took $180 a piece. I had fun for sure. We still had good players playing.
Looks like the next ring game will have to be on the one we are doing on July 30th for TAR!!!

I still can't believe people would complain about a $5 green fee...but they are pool players, so they will ***** if the sun rises in the morning as well.

wish there was some straight pool or 3C action there. nobody would play me 14.1, but everyone was trying for $20 game one hole.

I posted it on the other thread but Daniel was leading and I was in 2nd, Pet was in third place when 9PM came. So then naturally Jon said Daniel couldnt be over there, Pet didn't want to change tables and finish so me and Pet threw Daniel an extra $20 since he was the chip leader. So final payouts were $240 for Daniel and $180/piece for me and Pet. It was fun though.
The big entry is for the reason of trying to attract the better players only. There will be some good short stop to lower tier pros playing...hell Shane might play you never know. Just a really strong lead into the weekend festivities is the goal. We'll see how it all turns out though.:thumbup:
