10 ball

I dont play one pocket or str8 pool.

I do play 9 ball 8 ball and 7 ball but know nothing about 10 ball? Someone feel like explaining? Is it just 10 balls in rotation? How do you rack. Any special rules?

10-ball is my new favorite game. I have been playing it for the past 3 months now and I am addicted.

Same rules as 9 ball.

10 ball is the last ball to go down. The 10 is racked in the middle of the rack. The balls are racked in a triangle similar to bowling pins. 4 balls in the back row, then 3, then 2, then the head ball on the spot. The 10 ball goes in the middle of the third row.

One of the major differences in the game is the break. It is much harder to make a ball on the break in 10 ball rather then 9 ball. Plus the 10 ball doesnt go in on the snap that often either.

As far as I know, it is played like 9-ball (rotation)... rack in a triangular shape (just like 8-ball without the last row of balls) with one in front and 10 in the usual 9 or 8 ball position.

If you get a few shooters together it makes a great Ring game, shoot til you miss, $5 on the Pumpkin, $10 on the 10 Ball. No safes, draw cards for shooting order. Foul is Ball in hand to incoming shooter.
If you pocket the 10, you win, Re-rack and keep shooting.

Then you don't know how to break a 10ball rack.... I've found that it goes as much, if not more than the 9 in 9ball....

The corner balls go 4 rails around the table and create some action, but for the most part I find it difficult to pocket balls on the break.

I guess Sarah Rousey should start giving lessons to all those so called pros playing the 10ball Ring game at DCC. Last year I think I saw ONE break where the 10 ball went in by Alex Pagulayan. No one else did it. Year before I dont remember it going in ONCE. She should share her secrets I think.

Ugh...... no, I was playing her a race to 3 10ball at the DCC and ran the first rack, then snapped in the 10 twice in a row.

I also get the 10 ball to go in a lot more than I do in 9 ball. Must be the rack. If the two balls below and above are touching it I don't think it's makeable in the corners.
