10 RESOLUTIONS TO IMPROVE YOUR POOL GAME

Specific to my particular stage of development:

1. I will set my expectations more aligned with reality. While I do expect to improve, and at the start of every inning at the table I do expect to run out, at my skill level I will accept that it is exceedingly rare that I will actually run out. I will be satisfied with incremental but small improvements, and accept some regression at times.

2. I will return often to stroke-enforcing drills, ensuring my fundamentals remain as solid as possible even as I start experimenting with advanced topics such as compensating for deflection when using side spin (can’t know for certain whether a miss is a result of not accounting for deflection/squirt/swerve if I can’t guarantee my stroke, alignment and aim are solid).

3. I will continue to make my approach, PSR, and shot execution more natural, less forced and less mechanical.

I can relate to this. it's tantalizing to think that after a great run out, every rack should be similar- if only ^_^
anyway, it's a nice goal- try it on and see how it goes- good luck, and keep us posted on your progress!

1. Spend more time on real drills instead of just using 14.1 as a training game.
2. start doing drills focused on safety play, rails knowledge and precise position play. (until now, I've been doing mostly shotmaking stuff)

some solid, if not obvious suggestions

y'all making any pool-related resolutions?

happy and healthy 2022, to you...
1) More practice sessions

2) More matchups against tough opponents

3) Not being so hard on myself, remembering that I love this game and accepting that at my age I will never play as good as I used to.
