I have $1000 to spend on a cue. Weight Around 18-19.5. I really like a good sneaky Pete! Custom cues a plus. Even if there is a package deal where acute and case combo would be ok. Show me Wyg!
I have a Babin cue for sale and a Whitten 2X4case that may be to your liking. Al Babin is a local Connecticut custom cue maker for the past 15 years. The cue is stunning, with one normal shaft and one Hornbeam shaft, which weighs 5 ounces. Hornbeam is a tree that grows in the Northeast and has tremendous tinsel strength and a fantastic hit. The cue with one normal shaft is $450. With both shafts $600. The case is$250. The case is used but in great condition. The only flaw is the name Whittier on a small plate on top, but can be removed or changed to your name. The pictures of the case attached. The cue will follow.View attachment 342522
Pictures of the cue. The cue weighs 19.3 ounces, 3/8x10 joint. One shaft 3.6 ounces and the Hornbeam weighs 5 ounces. Every thing strait and cue is new, but test hit.
check pm message box, i found this at superiorcues.com
purpleheart handle, ebony prongs, maple forearm, good luck, i hope you find what you're looking for
i have a 20 year old phillipi made by the elder, and signed ,not the son, although he recently refurbished it. not to fancy a four pointer with silver railroad rings. two shafts. . i played with it for a number of years and it is a solid hitting cue with nice lines and craftsmanship. also with a soft leather 2 x4 older instroke case.
this combo set up is very well worth the $1000 your willing to spend. i simply use a basic samsara now as i am up in years and dont really play much anymore.
