11 greenies?

Wow,

I looked up today and notice that I now have 11 greenies. I don't go around looking to compile greenies, but I am appreciative that everyone has respected me enough to give me reps.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has ever given me any rep points, and I will continue to try and look for post that I think deserve rep points.

This forum has a lot of great people on it, and after meeting several of you all in person my wife and I have figured out that there are lots of good people in the pool world.

I really feel special being in the company of such great people, and I hope that I don't tarnish the group! LOL

Again thanks to everyone that has given me good rep points! I really do appreciate it.

I also didn't realize how addicted that I am to this site.......over 1500 posts! I guess I need to get off here and go practice my game more instead of just talking about it! LOL:eek:

I'm guessing just so that it's easier to count ... collectively see the dark as 5 and then add after that. It's like the signal strength for the cell-phone, it's 5 bars ascending so you can easily count. Congrats Txplshrk :)

Oh I have caused several discrepancies on here! LOL I am just glad that everyone is good at knowing when to agree to disagree. I am also glad that just because I don't agree with someone they won't hold it against me! LOL

We are all created equal, but we all have different tastes and opinions. That is what makes this world and this forum great. I may not like some opinions of some people on here, but I definitely still respect everyone on here for their opinions, even if I don't agree with all of them.

It is amazing how much you can actually learn from just talking to different people. It is also amazing how different people can open your mind and look at new possibilities. I think this forum helps me to open my mind and work on my mental game. That is just as important as working on the physical aspects of the game.

Again thanks everyone for all the advice!
 
I don't own a cellphone. I have no idea how people ever got along without them. I think most people are playing talk on the phone to impress. At a light the other day I counted all of the first 9 cars had the driver with a cell to his/ear. Now theres text mess...text this:mad: Johnnyt

Hey Johnny don't diss the cell phone..............it is how I make my living! LOL

I have been working for the largest US cell provider for the last 6 years.

I absolutely love my job, and technology is wonderful. I just wish every state would implement the hands free devices as a law so we could keep people from crashing while talking on the phone.:o
 
My wife did her part...she has one for years. Calls me two blocks from the house telling me she'll be home rom work in a minute...like I couldn't figure that out in a few minites w/o the call. I hate them I tell you. Johnnyt

Is there a cellphone without cameras, texting, music, video, www, etc. that is ONLY just a plain damn phone, for someone who wants to call home and say, "I'm through playing poker,I'm on my way home, heat up the dinner" ? For about $9.95 month with Free anytime minutes ?

This is a two part answer!

Yes to the phone only being a phone.........go to Verizon Wireless and tell them you want the old person phone! It has big buttons, a loud ringer, and all it does is make phone calls! LOL

As far as 9.95 a month with free anytime minutes.....................good luck! I don't know a provider out there that is doing this, and even if there were your cell phone coverage would suck royally!

This is great info - I was going to look for a phone for my Mom and this sounds perfect... she doesn't know how to use my Dad's phone.

It sounds complicated. When I'm not home, I'm at the poker room or the poolroom and when Barbara isn't home, she's at work or the grocery store.
We pretty much communicate by ESP and seldom get our wires crossed.
