11mm pool cues?

Hello, first post. My friend is looking for an 11mm pool cue but not to play snooker with, just regular 8 ball. I believe snooker cues are different in length and they look pretty bland. I assume 11mm cues are harder to find as they might have more of a tendancy to warp.
So my question is where do I look for an affordable cue in the $90 to $120 range as it seems that most cues are standard at 12.75mm.

One option is to have the shaft turned down.

Not all snooker cues look bland. And if you get a shaft turned down to 11mm, the balance point gets all screwy on you. Might be too whippy too. Look for forum member named "Sev". He has a REALLY nice looking one with an ivory joint(!!!!!) that he's looking to get rid of. He might sell it for a little bit more than what you're offering.

I have an 11mm (possibly a little smaller) Riley snooker cue that I've stripped and am beginning to refinish. Depending on how flashy he wants it to be, I might be willing to part with it.

My very first cue was an old Huebler with an 11mm tip. I loved that cue but gave it away to a kid that lived downstairs from me.

Snooker Cues are 10~8.75mm

Snooker Cues are 10~8.75mm not 11mm. Most around the 9mm mark.

For the price, give schmelke a call. I know they make custom cues in your price range and can do custom weight, length and tip/shaft size. Can't go wrong with a schmelke.

Thanks everyone, I will give these options to my friend.
Scaramouche, I will show this cue to my friend as well.
Chin0, the Schmelke line looks to be the best choice by far as there is a wide selection.
MilwShooter, any pics?
Nick B, don't they call it a modified snooker cue?
jcommie, I will PM Sev when I have the chance.
jasonlaus, that option is possible but I'm afraid it would cost my friend more than he's willing to spend.
