Hey Slim is entitled to his opinion and you can't argue with facts.......not the real facts but rather what Slim understands the facts to be about cue shafts.
He stands his ground adamantly and vigorously. It's because he's basing his opinion on firsthand, actual experience. You see he doesn't discern any
difference in cue shaft sizes in his bridge hand or fingers. After experimenting with different size cue shafts over his many years of pool playing, how
could Slim acquiesce and agree with everyone else . Truth is depending upon the size of the shafts being played with, or simply compared, the difference
is in shaft size is discernible to many players' bridge fingers......I know I can tell.
Maybe Slim has some issues with his somatosensory senses which some folks do suffer from. After all, it is a complex sensory system made up of a
number of different receptors, including thermoreceptors, photoreceptors, mechanoreceptors and chemoreceptors. His hands & brain may not be able
to distinguish slight changes in shaft diameter. So for Slim, the truth is what he knows it to be, not what it actually is.
Anyway, to each their own and Slim is probably one of those players that can pick up a house cue off the wall rack and playability is the same as one of
his custom cues. For some people, a cue is just a piece of shaped wood whose sole purpose is to hit a white ball and the irony is some of these folks are
darn good at the game too.
